The last Bricklink order to complete stage 4 of Hrothingas castle. I've built a new gatehouse, since i didn't feel like waiting on the original one, and i fortunately had enough pieces left to build it. It actually looks much better than the original one looks. I hope to post pictures of the completed stage within one and a half week.
The Norfolk Tank Museum is very proud to take ownership of what is believed to be the only surviving example of a 3 Ton Crossley Halftrack, built in 1926. The Crossley was originally restored by an enthusiast, Ian Simpson, who had rescued it from a scrap dealer. Sadly, Ian passed away in 1994 before completing the restoration and left the Crossley to the Museum Service, eventually the Crossley ended up at the Royal Logistic Corps Museum who carried on the renovation but, unfortunately due to moving from its current location at Deep Cut will no longer be able to display it.
The Norfolk Tank Museum intends to carry on the excellent restoration work that Ian and the volunteers at the Royal Logistics Corps Museum have already started, with the completion of various items including the Bonnet, Mudguards, Engine Covers, and hopefully the purchase of a set of Tracks. Originally the Crossley would have had a ‘Bikini Roof’ over the Driver’s Cabin and possibly a full Canvas over the rear section, this is something the Museum will also be particularly investigating when researching the Vehicle.
The Crossley Brothers came into being in Manchester in 1867, they manufactured pumps, presses, and small steam engines. In 1906 Crossley Brothers became Crossley Motors and began building cars, by World War One they were producing Cars and Trucks for the British Army. In 1948 Crossley Motors was bought-out by Associated Equipment Company (AEC) who then carried on production of the Vehicle for many years.
In 1925 following World War One, the British Army ran a competition for manufacturers to produce a 'Halftrack' Vehicle with good Off-Road Capabilities as well as On-Road Performance. Crossley signed a licence agreement with Citroen-Kégresse to produce a 15/20 CWT Halftrack using the Kégresse Track System. The new Crossley Halftrack performed very favourably in the competition and the order was given for 115 vehicles to be built and to be shared between the Army and the Royal Air Force. In 1926 Crossley produced the 20/30 CWT unfortunately, the production numbers are not known.
The Crossley is powered by a 4.5 litre four-cylinder, water-cooled petrol engine producing 65hp, with a 4-speed gearbox and a 2-speed transfer box and the weight is approximately 5 tons. There were possibly three versions produced, a General Service Vehicle, a Staff Car, and an Artillery Tractor.
The Crossley’s Track System is credited to Adolphe Kégresse a French Military Engineer who had managed the Russian Tsar’s cars before the revolution of 1917. Adolphe had converted the Tsar’s cars to Halftracks to improve their off-road ability. The system utilised a rubber or canvas track stretched between a drive wheel at the back and an adjuster wheel at the front, with a series of four sprung bogies in the middle. The rubber track was driven by friction, unlike other Tacked Vehicles which have a sprocket and teeth that engage with the track to produce drive.
The original concept for a Halftrack Vehicle was conceived by Alvin Orlando Lombard, an American blacksmith, he devised the 'Lombard Steam Log Hauler' which used tracks to disperse the weight of the vehicle and its load over a greater area. He built 83 between 1901 and 1917 in order to pull logs through the snow and ice of the New England mountains. During World War One the most famous Halftrack was the 'Holt Tractor' a further development of the Lombard Steam Log Hauler with a gasoline engine. Holt had purchased Lombard’s patent in 1907. In the late 1920's the US Army purchased several Citroen-Kégresse Vehicles along with a licence to develop their own M3 and M4 Halftrack versions which were then used during World War Two. The Germans also developed their own range of Halftracks using the Citroen-Kégresse design.

The Order is the roster of engineers in the United States who have participated in an Engineers' Ring Ceremony and who have accepted in public the "Obligation of an Engineer".
The Ring Ceremony is the public induction of candidates into the Order of the Engineer, during which the engineer candidates formally accept the Obligation of an Engineer and receive a stainless steel ring to be worn on the fifth finger of the working hand as a symbol.

WHY: The world is in a state of emergency. Across the globe, the climate crisis is wreaking havoc on our communities, destroying our homes and livelihoods, and leaving death and destruction in its wake. The message is clear: our extractive system has resulted in the greatest crisis we have ever faced, and we must rise to defeat the challenge of our lifetimes. We cannot let politics or corporatism convince us that there is no way out, because there is: a just transition from fossil fuels to a regenerative economy.
WHO: Our organizers and endorsers are an intergenerational coalition working together to bring about concrete climate action. If your organization would like to join this list we only have two things that we specifically ask of our endorsing partners:
Bring out your base! As many people as you can. The more you can spread the word, the more impact this action could have.
Be ready to keep working together after the action is over. We can’t afford to stop fighting and to ensure we get the justice we deserve we have to fight as a team. The partnerships formed through this action are something we hope lasts well after it!

Our Demands
We’re structuring this action so that every organization can bring demands to the table, but each organizations’ demands do not supersede the overall goals of the strike:
1. Pittsburgh universities (Pitt, CMU, Chatham, Carlow, Duquesne, Point Park, etc.) and institutions must divest from fossil fuels, and do so with transparency to the public.
2. The City must transition away from single use plastics, starting with taking them out of our retail services. A regular conversation between activists and the Gainey administration in regards to plastic pollution needs to be established.
3. The broader community must get involved and engaged in fighting the climate crisis in any way they can. This can be by joining organizations or other means!
4. Gainey and other reps must stand against the cracker plant and all current and planned fossil fuel infrastructure, to protect our air and water quality and communities.
5. Pittsburgh must divest from the police and reinvest in the community.
6. Education on the Climate Emergency: Allegheny county schools must recognize the threat and educate on it.
7. A fracking ban in Allegheny County.
8. The halting of national pipeline construction.
9. The passage of voting acts that ensure everyone has easy and equal access to voting.
10. The city, county, state and country must invest in communities of color and create opportunities for good green jobs
One of the best things about Austin in the Spring is to eat outside. Here in downtown you can watch your tacos be made and then eat them all outside.

I recently had yet another chance to travel to Sydney and stay for a while whilst working. Sydney’s weather didn’t treat me too well but apart from that, it was a good time had by all, I shopped, partied, hung out with friends and family, explored new places, met some amazing new friends, and set some awesome things up that you’ll see in the future. Aside from all that I got two days of shoots in for the lovely Asia Power’s 2009/2010 summer capsule range…
Asia’s range is pretty amazing and speaks for itself, they are beautiful pieces, and Shara did nothing but make the garments even more amazing on working the camera and been a good sport when it came to the weather and the difficult and dangerous terrain of the location.
This was a long and tedious shoot, the longest I’ve shot, and also the first of my full daylight on location shoots. It was cold and windy, hot and sunny, but we made it through the two days of shooting. Big thanks go out to the girls Allyce, her sister Brianna, Asia and her sister Stephanie for been the best assistants holding my lights and moving them around and helping with adjustments and stopping them from falling slash blowing off the cliffs, even though the girls nearly went over the cliffs with the lights a few times themselves.
Over all it was a great shoot I had fun it was a little bit of a differed style for me with the strenuous amounts of colour but I love trying new things. It was great working with Asia for the first time and Working with Allyce and Shara once more it’s always a pleasure and am glad that they have learned how to put up with me for now.

We’re continuing to ensure we’re prepared to keep you safe at the thousand-plus large-scale events that we police in Greater Manchester every year with the specialist training of hundreds of our officers.
Our rigorous week-long public order training programme has been nationally-recognised as properly equipping us for a whole variety of events – such as sporting fixtures, festivals, carnivals, and protests – to maintain order in circumstances where there is a risk to ourselves and the public.
Each year we police around 1200 such events in GM that mostly pass without any significant incident; however, we ensure that in the rare instances issues do arise, we have officers specially trained in maintaining order with the tactics and skills to keep the wider public and our officers safe.
As well as putting 500 new officers through their paces every year, we have many more experienced officers who also go through the intensive course to refresh their knowledge and skills so that we have the necessary number of qualified cops to be deployed to such big events.
Chief Inspector Kirsten Buggy, of our Specialist Operational Training, People and Development Branch said: “All our officers will police major events given the nature of serving for one of the largest communities in the country, but we also ensure that a high amount of those officers is trained in using the enhanced tactics that may be needed on some occasions.
“Part of the training our officers do here is very-much a last resort and can seem excessive to some, but we’ve seen in the past how valuably important it is that we can call on such an insurance policy for the rare situations where public order needs to be regained and maintained to keep you safe.
“This is the kind of policing that goes to show just how brave and committed our officers are at being on the front line and doing what they can to keep communities safe from those who may look to cause harm, and year-on-year we’re making sure that more of our officers gain the experience that this vital training can offer to the benefit of us all.”

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS: The body is light brown with dark saddle patches covered with black and white dots. Stout body with flat, broad head; snout short; mouth huge, proportionally larger that the great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias). Teeth are at front of jaws with dagger-like central point and 1-2 small points on each side; two dorsal fins: first much larger, with origin over pelvic fins, second dorsal fin considerably smaller than first, its origin over origin of anal fin. Gill slits small. Maximum length 3.2 ft.
DISTRIBUTION/HABITAT: Central California to southern Mexico; also reported near central Chile.
Found in rocky reefs and kelp forests, from surface to 460 m (1500 ft), in temperate and subtropical waters.
DIET IN THE WILD: Nocturnal; feeds on crustaceans and fishes, often blacksmith. Lie-in-wait predator that sits on the bottom with wide-open mouth, ready to ambush unsuspecting prey. (slowly opens jaws; lies in wait for prey to swim inside).
REPRODUCTION: Oviparous; female lays amber-colored egg cases that hatch in 8–10 months. Egg case (“mermaid’s purse”) is 9 – 13 centimeters (3.5 - 5 inches) long, 3 – 6 centimeters (1 - 2.3 inches) wide. Young have enlarged toothlike denticles on the back that help them break through egg cases. Pups measure 14 – 15 centimeters at birth; immediately feed on their own
PREDATORS: If caught it is, usually it will be released because its flesh is of poor quality. Embryos may be eaten by snails that bore through egg cases. Life span: 25 or more years
CONSERVATION: IUCN Red List: least concern species
REMARKS: Harmless, sluggish, hides in caves and crevices during normal aquarium hours. the day, and so is often not to be seen during aquarium hours. Common and specific (ventriosum = “largebelly”) names come from its ability to take in water that makes it appear up to twice as large as its normal size, a difficult meal for predators to bite or to remove from a crevice. If caughtand brought to the surface, it can swell its body with air.
When caught by fishermen and brought out of water, the release of gulped water/air can cause the swell shark to “bark”.
Occurs in aggregations while resting, sometimes piled one on top of the other.

9543 is a 1965 model "Main Line" Westinghouse R36 IRT passenger unit built by St. Louis Car, delivered 2/1965. Last new build passenger rail equipment in North America with conventional sash windows. 9543 tested Westinghouse E-Cam DC traction in 1988, later installed on GOH R44s (1991) and now on all R62s, R62As, R68s and R68As.
The 34 Main Line R36s (9524-9557) are actually Main Line R33s delivered at the tail end of the R36 order, being assembled from leftover Main Line R33 car shells between July 1964 and early 1965. These leftover R33 car shells resulted when it was decided to have the last 40 R33s built as single units for 11-car operation for Flushing Line World's Fair Service.
9542 and 9543 are in the New York Transit Museum fleet.
