She's a relief operator for Southern Pacific. _Railroad_ magazine, Oct. 1977. This was the era when this magazine had a lot of "girls and trains" shots, whether it's a woman in a miniskirt waiting for a train, or a woman who works for the railroad...I'm not sure what I think about that, but this is a cool picture. I wonder if that building is still there in Mesa, AZ.
My first, and possibly last, self-portrait. Unfortunately, in my haste, I forgot that the camera remote is able to give a 2-second delay, instead of immediate trigger. So I had to find a way to hold my hand to trigger the remote without having my hand in the frame...hence the awkward pose.
Out shooting in Handen with kenny lex this afternoon. He went for a few panoramic images from this construction site at Poseidon's square. I decided to zoom in on one of the workers.
The original instructions for operators and levermen from 1926. This document still hangs in the museum today.

Imagine not being able to step outside your door because there is no solid ground beyond your simple wooden house. Imagine having to do everything – laundry, gardening, shopping, visiting, everything – from a boat. Imagine having to paddle or row everywhere. Imagine not being able to go for a walk or a run.
That is life on Inle Lake in the heart of the Shan State, Myanmar. The Shan Hills surround the lake - if it wasn’t for the unremitting noise of the motors, it would be beautifully peaceful.

Right before the show, at least 8 people got hoisted up on the lighting rigs so that the band members are always being tracked by 1-2 spots. Here they are hard at work.
