Built from mid-1970s, the "Tram 2000" was planned to replace the whole Zurich tram fleet until 2000. As we know, the "invention" of low-floor trams and the oncoming wish to use air-conditionned vehicles made that plans redundant, and around 2000, the first Cobra trams set a new standard in Switzerland's largest urban area. With the first Bombardier Flexitys entering service, the replacement for that iconic trams is getting nearer, while it is not clear, if the Flexities will be the definitive end for the series or not. The articulated Be 4/6 are used mainly in couples or combined with an added Be 4/4 single motor car, but where (and still are) running solo especially on route 15, which is among others using the nearly car-free "Limmatquai" - seen here from Lindenhof square in old "Oberdorf" part of Zurich.

Letters organised by frequency, starting at the top left. Way superior to QWERTY.
(The phrase 'ETAOIN SHRDLU' would occasionally make it into printed works thanks to operators completing incorrectly entered lines by running fingers down the keyboard, it being quicker to retype than manually rearrange the already placed type matrices.)

Monster Mash is a long-standing Special Tactics tradition, consisting of an obstacle course where special operators complete timed scenarios at different stations of core mission training. The event was held in honor of Chief Master Sgt. Bruce W. Dixon, command chief of the 24th Special Operations Wing, who is retiring after a 30-year career as a combat controller. In total, he spent ten of those thirty years away from his family, consistently serving his nation's call in dangerous ground combat and training.

The newest arrivals with more due in the next fortnight we see in the South Wales Transport Yard YX65 RNV, YX65 RNO & YX65 RNU. All of which have entered service replacing YX09 FKU, YX09 FKV & YX09 FKS. Recently I’ve been able to drive one of the trio on Swansea Service 15 to Waunarlwydd & dispite their tatty exterior they are not only nice on the inside but really rather nice to drive lacking that common E200 rattle, these new arrivals are expected to be painted next month.

I saw this lonely operator last night. Actually I saw a few of his type. These poor chaps run the games that no adult likes to play...
I'm coming home right now. 5:45am is when I'm leaving for the airport. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MY WIFE!!!
