Close-Up photo to a horse.
I was sort of scared to face pretty much in front of my eyes, but he was very still and looked at my camera, so I took this photo and immediately, run away. I was such a chicken-shit, but animals are always unpredictable.

I found this today for $5. It's in really good shape. It came with a flash block and the manual. Now i've got to find some film for it.

i put this in and fired the first shot and it got caught on something, so i had to go and remove the jam in my light tight closet. I took the picture and ran it through my other sx70 camera that had a empty cartridge, and i got this cool result.

Why do I love Polaroid cameras & film? 1/ For the nostalgia of it all. My folks shot Polaroids of my sister and I as kids. We grew up around them a bit. 2/ For the thrill of unpredictable & instant results that the Polaroids produce! 3/ For the ability to take, share, write on, journal with, etc photos instantly. 4/ The color, effects, texture, and lens shading, etc are fantastic! 5/ For the opportunity to continue on a medium of photography that (like 35mm film) should never die! It is an art form in and of itself like painting, sculpture, dance, or film making!

When you show a lot of people an SX-70 they look confused, but show them one of these plastic cameras and they instantly recognize it.

What is FPP?
The Film Photography Project seeks to inform, engage and inspire amateur and professional photographers working in the traditional film medium. Launched by FPP founder Michael Raso in 2009, FPP provides a forum for photographers from around the globe to share their creative output, challenges and product reviews, while promoting the viability of vintage cameras and film through frequent give-aways and exchange programs. In addition to the Film Photography Podcast Internet Radio Show, the Film Photography Project network of imprints includes the FPP Flickr Page, YouTube Channel, Facebook Group, Twitter Account, newsletter and the Film Photography Project Store.
I've always wanted a Polaroid, but I can't help but feel nervous about using it. To wield the power to take instant pictures is almost too much for these clumsy hands.
Lord, beer me strength.
i recently got a new addition to my polaroid "family". from left to right...
onestep (sx-70), izone, spectra system, colorpack IV.
look for them to appear in a photographic "cartoon" regarding instant film in the not-too-distant future. *nods*

used Polaroid 600 film to shoot these instead of i-Type because I originally bought the cartridge to use awith the vintage Onestep, but it turns out it wasn't working anymore.

The first of many Polaroids in my collection.
I just realised that I put the OneStep on a step when taking that photo, which makes it kind of lame. But in reality I was thinking "Where can I get enough light without having my underwear hanging on the clothesline in the background."
Possible future background: Matt underwear.
