i was making chalkboards today when a bee fell out of a tree and landed on the boards i was painting. i think she was dying so i decided to immortalize her as i always do with insects i find. i picked her up with some plyers because i'm deathly allergic to bee stings! (not really) here is a diptych comparing color shade vs silver shade.

**for the sake of aesthetics i messed with the curves. originals can be seen in my photostream.

The Polaroid OneStep 600 has a simple fixed focus 1-element plastic lens and lacked the close-up adaptor. The only user-control is the exposure compensation slider used to make pictures lighter or darker. These models can be partially folded to protect the lens.

Polaroid Time-Zero OneStep, Polaroid Originals SX-70 Film

Polaroid OneStep Land Camera. Purchased at Salvation Army on Montrose around 2002. Takes SX70 film, but can be tricked into using 600 (like that is much help anymore).

From left to right:

Polaroid OneStep Close-Up, Kodak Instamatic, Lomography Fisheye II - White Knight edition, Bell & Howell Dial-35, Kodak Brownie (behind the B & H), and my Polaroid One-Step.

Taken with my D50, of course.

Edited in photoshop lightroom.

I'm proud of my small collection of cameras. I get them from thrift stores or grandparents generally. The fisheye I bought from UO.

Fabulous weather in Bristol on Friday. This was my first proper visit to the city and boy she she didn't disappoint.

A OneStep Polaroid Rainbow in very good condition, found in trash last fall. Anyone want it? Although it functions perfectly, including the flash -- I've shot two packs on it -- there are 3 issues. The first is the possibility that instant-film packs will be impossible to obtain in the future. The second is that, even if standard Polaroid packs were easily available, they're several stops faster than the film this camera was designed for: It overexposes everything, and will need some hacking to make it useful. The final issue is that a few times, the camera couldn't properly eject an exposed print; I don't know if that's a real problem or not.

I need to make room in my stable for a new stud: my 5D. ;->

SX-70 Sonar Onestep, Poraloid 600 @ Sydney Observatory, Sydney, Australia

If you walk through the Rocks and walk deeper in the residential area, you will be able to bump into this awesome place on the hill. You can browse the best part of Sydney in almost the 360 degree view angle. I was totally stunned about this superb scenery and took so many photos. There is no wonder that Sydney absolutely has the best match between ocean and city.

今更ながら、シドニーは海と街が一体となったきれいな場所だと思う。こんな場所に徒歩何十分ってのは東京にはあり得ない。

Still on the steep side of the "learning curve" with my Frankenroid camera, the Polaroid OneStep "Rainbow" camera mated to a Polaroid peel-apart film back. I'm using Fuji Fp100c. This is a 25 second exposure through a .6 mm pinhole

( approx, as if I know what a .6 mm hole would look like ! ) behind the beautiful Polaroid OneStep plastic lens. The Apache Motel sign, Main Street, Moab, Utah.

Kinda reminds me of Game of Thrones. Shot with Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera Sonar OneStep and PX 70 (batch 12/11) Impossible Film.

Poor A-Wix, someone stole his digital camera last night. Thankfully his wife Anna had his back, with this handy Polaroid.

This is my second shot using PX680 Test Film.

Overcast day with fog and low light. Temp.: 8 degrees Celsius.

In this case the pictrure is stable. I really like the colors, but I don't understand the line which erase part of the picture starting from the upper right corner.
