SX-70 Sonar Onestep, Poraloid 600 @ Milsons Point, Sydney, Australia
I like staying away from the city area because I am able to have my own space relaxing and enjoying my time. Over last week, I came here to have a relaxing time and stay away from the city noise. I really feel relieved whenever I come over here after taking a ferry to cross the ocean. Really, comfortable and serene !!! This is the remote view from North Sydney (Actually, here is Milsons Point.). Such a beautiful scenery.
SX-70 Sonar Onestep, Poraloid 600 @ Nishigahara, Tokyo, Japan
These days, we are losing something very important, you know. I love this traditional entrance, but recently, I don't see it very often. A lot of old houses are replaced with new, modern, state of the art buildings, but whenever I visit this kind of old, wooden houses, I feel sort of comfy in it. I think I have the blood of old Japanese spirit more than others, I guess. To memorize these traditions, I will try to take photos of as many old Japanese buildings as I can.
Anyway, I will visit Kyoto after a current rainy season to take photos of old houses.
That's part of the old Ljubljana, really nice buildings out here. Shot with Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera Sonar OneStep and PX 70 Impossible Film (batch 12/11).
SX-70 Sonar Onestep, Poraloid 600 @ Bondai Beach, Sydney, Australia
I joined a Japanese photo group in Sydney.
Once a month, we go somewhere and take a lot of photos.
It is really a great opportunity for me to know a lot of places and meet a lot of people.

i got my second sonar onestep in the mail today! the outer condition of this camera is okay (there is a small dent on top), but at least the autofocus works!
this is the first shot with the camera + sx-70 blend film. i'm loving the blend.
totally creepy on this film.
this batch of film ended up getting really soft and creamy looking around the edges and nasty and splotchy nearing the middle.

I couldn't get any closer than this. The Mother was keeping a close eye on me, she didn't like the sound of my OneStep too much!
One of the close to modern Polaroid Cameras produced by the original company that has that classic Type-600 Clamshell design! Not to mention modern enough to be still running after a decade or two.

The Impossible Project PX680 Test Film β-1 Prod. date: 03-02-2011
on monday, my sx-70 model 2 (yep, that'd be the one with the fake flowers on it, all folded up, front and centre) decided to give up the ghost. i used it for all of three weeks before it croaked. to have at least a little fun (and to keep my sense of humour up; i was not happy to see it "die"), i decided it'd be fun to pretend my cameras (except for the coolpix, of course...it had to take the pictures, after all!) had a "memorial" for it.
max (my minolta on the right) found the model 2 a kindred. after all, both were SLRs. both saw quite a bit of use in their lives (i've owned max since christmas 2002).
the baby (izone, in the middle being "held" by the colorpack) was very sad. apparently, it's very sensitive to camera deaths. colorpack just held it while it cried, reassuring little izone that another one like it would come for me to use.
spectra and clicky (the 110) were considerate. they knew i'd had a lot of fun with it, and knew i was finally happy to use one of the folding sx-70 cameras for a change, even if it was for only a few short weeks.
onestep, while it felt bad for the model 2, was a little cocky as well. for a moment (and even now) i could hear it taunting me, saying, "this is what you get when you force me into retirement for the second time! i hope you're proud of yourself!"
(an sx-70 sonar is on its way.)
