Graflex Speed Graphics with polaroid back installed
I've started in large format with this camera. Graflex Crown Graphic is well-known 4x5 rangefinder widely used by news photographers and alike in 50th and 60th. This model is a great camera from 50th (mine was build 1958). I have the only lens, 152mm Kodak Ektar in Suprematic shutter, bellows were worn and I repaired them, rangefinder broken and I fixed it, too, so it is working. I use it with:
- Polaroid 545 4x5 back with 55 Polaroid Positive/Negative sheet film
- Polaroid back for 667 packfilm (same I use for my *roids)
- 6x6 back for 120 film
Crown Graphic is a press camera, so its abilities for movements are limited, do not expect it to be truly large format camera in terms of perspective control etc. But it is very, very good, light and compact (for 4x5), and with 55 film you can get both positive and high quality negative after very simple onestep open light clearing process.
This is the view from my apartment. My wife and I have been living here for some 6 months, and we're loving it. The place is about 1.5 times as big as our previous apartment, and it has a real bedroom (unlike the studio we used to live in). It is, however, a lot further from school as well as my favorite BN bookstore.

I will die in Paris, on a rainy day,
on some day I can already remember.
- from "Black Stone Lying On A White Stone" by César Vallejo
I can't remember which camera I actually used, to be honest. I just know it was one of those two.
It wasn't Paris, but it was definitely a rainy day.
I won't die in Paris but I like to think I won't die in St. Petersburg, FL either.
And I remember paying the water bill that day because it was across the street from where I was standing.

trying to work on a project where there's a small "easter egg" type of thing that's kind of weird or off, but only slightly and small. this was one of my first attempts. i've gotta try again a and get better with this camera and better compositions and stuff, but i've got the ball rolling
This year I'm using a different film format each month, starting with the smallest and working my way up through the sizes. The format for November is Polaroid SX-70, which has a slightly larger image area than last month's 6x9cm 120 format.
This was taken with a Polaroid 1000 camera (known as Polaroid Onestep in the US), it uses SX-70 film, which is once more available, having been revived by The Impossible Project a few years ago.

(forgot to take the ND filter off, so the image turned out too dark, to compensate for this failure i rubbed the image between my hands for at least 5 minutes, which probably caused the severe texture)

Wow... two years since I took this photo. I had the light off in the room and had the flash go off on the camera. This was right near the time I got married to my gorgeous wife. My beard is obviously bushy, I have a plain white shirt for sleep, and still had my black rectangle earrings in. Since then my beard has come and gone, that shirt is still useable, and I lost one of those earrings. I'm enjoying my work, hoping for a promotion, enjoying married life, taking care of two sweet catss (Mali and Ilsa), started writing again, and still working on my photography.
This is such a simple portrait and brings back so many memories.
