Cute. Light. Easy. Mediocre results. It's no SX-70 but it's a nice, unique design. Better for a shelf than something to shoot with.

A while back I was at the thrift store and came across a Polaroid OneStep 600 that had two exposures left in it. The camera was around 5 bucks, and seeing as I already own one I thought I'd just find some items in the store to shoot the last two Polaroid's this camera had.

Today was the best day so far, I think and luckily, in Japan, today was a national holiday. I knew that it was so sunny without any cloud today that I woke up very early and went to a remote big park. There were so many people in the park, Meijikinen park, so it was a little difficult for me to find the best angle in several positions, but I was patient today. For one shot, I waited for several minutes to get people frame out. I think this fabulous weather made me very patient. I found a great variety of flowers here, and the time between April and May is the best time for tulips. I saw many colors of tulips, but the red one, that might be very typical, made me feel like taking photos of. At that time, I wished that I had a close-up lens for SX-70. I tried to be very close them to show the vivid red color. I brought my HasselBlad, AE-1, and Daina + as well today, so I am looking forward to developing the films of them !!!

The Sun 660 and Sonar Onestep were found last weekend in a Goodwill for a few bucks each.... now if only film were that cheap!!

I found an attraction on a street. These were just put near an entrance of a normal house. However, it was so surreal that I couldn't help taking a photo of a pair of lady shoes. I don't know why, but I really got attracted by them.

Yet another shot of the venerable "FrankenRoid" OneStep. A Polaroid OneStep camera mated to a Polaroid peel-apart film back ( originally intended for oscilloscope photography ). It's just waiting for me to buy another pack of Fuji instant film ( OR for the return of Polaroid 665 P/N film !, come on Impossible Project, you can do it !) On Impossible PX70 film, using a Polaroid SX-70 camera with Close Up lens.
I thought I could fool her since the Polaroid looks different from the Digital cameras. But I was being scolded when I snapped this.
Why I love these Polaroid instant prints? They are just so badly retro. They remind me of photos that my parents took when I was growing up. Composition and lighting be damned as long as you get some photos of the kids growing up. The color on these are just like the ones from my childhood as well.
Abso-friggin-lutely love them.
I had a couple of shots left over from last week's 'Roid Week. I really need to get on finding a Land Camera so I don't have to deal with this automatic flash.

The effect of a darkened room combined with the Macro 5 SLR's dual flashes on the black surface of this Polaroid Time-Zero OneStep is very striking. It's almost like an illustration!

Wilsons Promontory was first travelled by the Koori. These people were of the Gunai community with the Brataualung clan occupying the surrounding areas of South Gippsland. To the Koori, Wilson's Promontory is known as 'Wamoon', watched over by 'Loo-errn'. Koori legend tells the story of when Loo-errn was living by the Yarra River with his wife Lohan-tuka. One day, when cooking eels, he observed a swan feather carried by the wind towards the south and decided to follow its journey. He came upon the swans in Westernport Bay and waited until they migrated to the east, whereupon he followed them to Corner Inlet.
A scenic walking track named after Loo-Errn, meanders around Tidal River, where these shots were taken, honouring the legend spirit.
