I had lots of fun times here growing up. I also had my 10th Birthday party here where I got my first Polaroid camera, tons of 600 film, and a photo album for my pictures!

there was a weird storm that came through last Sunday afternoon. This color isn't accurate, but it was raining so heavily you couldn't see very far.

My third and fourth packs of polaroids with the OneStep+ were colored instant films with holiday themed frames. Here are some of the shots I liked the most from the most recent Christmas celebrations.

Starting with these packs, I bought the special lens set for the OneStep+, so I could experiment a bit with playful exposures.

SX70 OneStep with Impossible PX100 Cool film. L/D wheel = Neutral

I have had an absolutely fantastic day today. Met up with my friend Lesley for lunch and an afternoon's shooting at the V&A Museum. I've been dying to try out the new Impossible films so this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I'll post some colour PX70 later but this was the first shot out of the PX100 pack. With a Colour Shade workshop with Tom Wright to look forward to tomorrow and the Utata 5 Days project behind me, this has been a belter of a week.

Polaroid SX-70 Sonar One-Step camera and PX-70 Color Shade film. Light/Dark wheel set to one notch darker. Mint flash used with setting pushed to the right.

I was so excited to find my new flash waiting for me when I got home last night that I just had to rattle off a couple of shots. One was very overexposed, another way too dark. This was the best of the three. More experimenting to come. Still better than when I didn't have a flash though.

At first, I have to tell you that they are my colleagues and playing roles, so please don't get upset and call the police !!! ha ha ha. Anyway, one of them really would like to drink Coca-Cola and said, "Piss off !!!" pointing her gun to the other.

A collaboration with the very talented Miss Emily Hassell.

hookay, I admit, these are not the world's greatest photographs... but they are my first polaroids ever. EVER.

Basically this is me fiddling around with the exposure settings etc and finding out 'set exposure to fully darken' is indeed rather to be recommended... If one doesn't have an ND filter (yet)... :D

... oh, and my apologies to Tricky. :)

Polaroid 600

SX-70 Sonar OneStep

This is the "Polaroid OneStep SX-70" camera, it is a Polaroid Land Camera what was produced by Polaroid from 1977 to 1980; and would have originally retailed for about $29.95 to $49.95 US.

Polaroid would produce various cameras under the "OneStep" name from 1977 to 2002. This camera is virtually identical to the "Polaroid Time-Zero OneStep SX-70 Rainbow" which was produced from 1981 to 1982; and was meant as a replacement for the original "OneStep". The only real differences between the two models are that on the regular "OneStep" (shown above) the face plate is white; also the shutter button and the accent around the lens are round. As apposed to the later "Time-Zero OneStep” which instead features a black face plate as well as a square shutter button and lens accent. Both models feature the classic Polaroid "rainbow" stripe on the front of the camera.

Cameras like this have become fairly collectible in recent years since Polaroid discontinued the production of their line of instant cameras; and ceased the production of instant film in 2009(although the instant film is still produced by Fujifilm as well as the “Impossible Project”) I recently purchased this camera at a local thrift store for $4.00; it appears to be in excellent condition and it even came with the "Polaroid Q-Light" flash attachment.
