Really did leave it to the last second - very rainy night and I was all out of ideas so decided to shoot my iPhone showing the time and use the traffic lights and street lamps as the backdrop - the rain on the window and the wide apature created some interesting and colourful Bokeh.....

It's finally going autumnal

I had to get the team some supplies, not good for my damaged tendons!

Today I went a walk along a track I hadn't been before specifically looking for the Temple of Venus. There are better views of it, and shooting into the midday sun wasn't ideal, but a filter or two perhaps saved the shot.

Constructed in 1730s, by Ambrose Phillipps of Garendon (d.1737) loosely based on the Temple of Vesta at Tivoli.

With the introduction this year of the new "plastic" £5 note, I thought that would be a suitable subject for this topic.

It had got to 5.30pm and I realised I hadn't event thought about doing a photo for today. The light outside was dull so no chance of a sunset, so it had to be an indoor still life. I realised I hadn't photographed the illuminated little house before, collected some moss from the garden and selected one of my fairies. A little bit of light painting and added a few stars too.

My daughter's pumpkin apparently grew a body this evening and was last seen dancing about on the lawn.... View On Black

This is not Photoshop BTW... you can actually see the remote for the camera in one of Pumpkinhead's hands I think!

It's been a lot of fun but this is the last photo in the 2011 October Photo Challenge and I am happy to say I managed every day!

Day 31 of October 2016: a month in 31 pictures.

After yesterday's grey day it was good to see the sun. Back to work tomorrow, so from now until the new year I'll be leaving after the sun has set so I was lucky to see a beautiful sunset tonight after walking up to the field gate just outside the village.

Another yellow line. My chiropractor has told me to have lots of walks so I found myself on an empty train station platform just before modnight. Lead-in lines aplenty and a couple of evil-looking red eyes keeping watch on me in the distance!

A strange day today with red sun and yellow sky, result of combining weather of ex-hurricane Ophelia, bringing with it sahara dust and smoke particles from forest fires in Portugal.

The setting sun didn't produce a spectacular scene, but there were some lovely rays and a purplish sky.

Day 8 of the October challenge - which I forgot to start.. so please excuse repetition of a subject, along with a sunrise on day 3 as I wasn't playing the game and this was the only shot in my phone for day 8!

Some very kind friends invited us to come to see Van Morrison.

31 October. Halloween! She's just a bit possessed - I didn't edit it. Much.

Cider apples after they go through the mill are then pressed. The by-product is pulp, which goes to cattle feed so we can have happy cows again. (They were annoyed when we restarted the cider and took away their apples)
