HDR manipulation from a single JPG. Exposure, colour balance and saturation were all manipulated in Photoshop, between saves of three 'bracketed' images. Merged and 'over processed' in Photomatix Pro. Final colour tweaking in Photoshop.
first real set of birds i ever got close to (it's a bit over processed, but i swear this guy wants to kill me)
*edit - this is an older picture i took with my fuji 3000. way before i knew anything about anything in taking pictures.
i was blessed enough, however, to take this shot without looking. see, the bird built his nest right outside my window in a ficus tree (it was in a pot on casters). i had the benefit of moving it around slightly to get a good angle, but i set up my shot behind a black trash bag over the opening of the window. i didn't have manual focus on this camera, and i only had enough room on my card for 12 pictures at a time. i DID have a tripod, but that was about that. the light came from behind and the patio was covered (so my lighting was very difficult - as if i knew something about lighting).
...long edit...so, the point of this all was, i was taking the picture, one at a time, auto focus each time, with the camera sticking through a piece of black trash bag taped to my window frame, listening for the baby birds to chirp, so i know when to start pressing the button...and i got this one.
i think more than anger, he might well have been saying "enough already"
Bowl of sundried tomatoes dip with grilled aubergine salad with oregano, on green glass plate
Dip: I packet sundried tomatoes soaked in warm water for ten minutes or so, then whizzed in mini food processor with olive oil and freshly ground black pepper.
In a small food processor it's easier to avoid over processing and so losing the texture. The amount of olive oil will vary according to taste and you can add a little of the soaking water to soften the mixture.
Aubergine: Slice one or two aubergines thinly and grill on hot ridged grill pan brushed with olive oil, until just cooked. Sprinkle with dressing of balsamic vinegar and olive oil, black pepper and fresh marjoram/oregano sprigs
A touched over processed. From last week archives as today looks like a good day to shoot some new material.
Another round of over-processing (and over-processed) cat pictures converted to heavily processed videos! Here is Bonkers, processed with the trendy (and widely over-used by me) deep dream filter created by Google, run through another program that added another layer of processing then created a video from that processing, then run through a program that converted that video into a video of vectorized images, then run through another program that added a "hand-drawn" type of style to what you see here.
Many of my works - like this one - are produced entirely digitally. I sometimes re-use older works as art elements and also drawing objects - usually rectangles. These are combined together using Serif PagePlus X3.
Next I mesh warp the image and finally photographically over process the image with Paint Shop Pro.
T5 Heathrow - I was rushing to catch a connection to Toronto, but just sometimes the colours just grab you.
Over processed as heck, but I like the effect.
Pixel 7a Camera - disappointing to find that a shot has been over processed by your phones AI adding too many artefacts :(
I like the lines on this row of canoes and over processed it just a bit...
Hope everyone is having a great day! :)

This picture looks almost over-processed. The truth is its a old tree with very rough edges the tree looks almost fairy tale like in person, Very minor PP was done the Infrared conversion with a little adjustment of the levels
Strobist: SB800 pointed into center of tree sitting on the ground in between the branches to light the shadows
R200SS, corrector PH, D750, EQ6-R, SWED50 + Mgen II guiding, 2:30' x 22 frames (55 min total). ISO 200.
Update: re-edited a touch in Flickr
Near full moon. Mostly testing new equipment. Noticed lots of dew on guide scope lens towards end of session. Did not try to over process image, but satisfied with its breadth of field and sharpness. These galaxies are close enough that they have interacted gravitationally in their past histories.
That's not a great picture, technically speaking. It is over processed, the high iso is ending out with the quality, but I just love it anyway.
This sleeping beauty melts my heart! (And according to herself, Minnie is supporting the bench monday idea... lol)
So, HBM!!

Essa não é uma grande foto, tecnicamente falando. O iso alto acabou com a qualidade, ela está super processada, mas eu a adorei mesmo assim.
Esta bela adormecida derrete meu coração!
Candace managed to stand very, very still for a series of 5 exposures ranging from 2 to 20 seconds for this HDR photo. There are some interesting details in this shot, check it out at high rez.
A bit of a panorama effort from the other week when wandering around Newstead Abbey. The light wasn't particularly good for this shot, and the shadows have been a bit too heavily lifted so it feels a bit over-processed for my tastes.

A submission to Sliders Sunday, where over-processing is encouraged. (And spot the plane in this image!).
Have not really been in the mood lately to take or process many shots- but still trying to make use of my 30 day CS5 trial and evaluate the HDR possibilities. I figure checking it out by reworking some shots I liked in the past might be a decent gauge.
Grotesquely over-processed video of Abraham Lincoln (it's a video because one of the programs I used made a video of the processing). Lincoln probably would have laughed at this...

The trifid nebula is an emission and reflection nebula in the constellation Sagittarius.
I'm disappointed that only a quarter of my exposures were usable due to clouds and slight blur caused by the Canon's shutter.
This one is a little over processed, but I wanted to try bring out as much colour as possible.
Definitely something to re-image, also using Ha filter next time...
(Check out another pic in my photostream where this was re-imaged)
Particularly proud of this one, as we tried quite a few times to get the action in the shot. Let me know if you think it's slightly over processed. Enjoy

OK, this is my 1st complex HDR. While I am thrilled with the results, I wonder about my work flow. So, I am open to any tips, suggestions, criticisms, and general “kicks in the butt"!
Here's what I did:
This is 5 images shot 1 stop apart with the D300 auto-bracketing. I processed in Photomatix. I processed 4 times. (1) Digital Enhancer with very little smoothing. It resulted in an "over-processed-grunge" look; but the cliffs and the dirt in the foreground came out quite nice, so i kept it. (2) Digital enhancer with almost the same settings, but lots of "smoothing" this resulted in a very nice sky but dark foreground (3) Used Tone compressor twice. Once for the sky, (4) final was for the lake water.
In photoshop I then stacked each of these photomatix results in 1 image as layers. I used layer masking to reveal, and hide areas on each of the layers
Then, I used some adjustment layers for the layer with the sky. Curves, and also Color adjustment. I wanted to tweak the colors of the sky a bit.
By now, I had 350mb document! I saved it with the layers for future use . Then I flattened it, and saved with a new name. This new document I then played with the little puffy white clouds to enhance them a bit.
I know I wasted a lot of time by trying new things, but am I even in the right mind set, and work flow??? Please, I will listen to any suggestions!
I know that Rajesh used to have a tutorial on how he blends his photos... but can't find it. Of course I didn't mark that page a favorite either.
Seen at Fairburn Ings RSPB centre ... very cold and going dark ... over processed (had to use a high ISO) but I quite like it!
This year I've decided to concentrate my efforts in yet another direction ... wildlife!
