slowly growing tired of over processing photos.. HDR has become the bane of my existence, all of the sudden.
I love it when used justly for a certain scene or project (but really... no one wants to see your cat tonemapped.. really)
So here is this photo, slight color and contrast adjustments to capture what i really "saw" on the scene .. without using five hundred exposures
facebook fan page (even if your only a "sort of" fan.. all the same to me:)
looking down at me from my son's top bunk. she sleeps with him every night. maybe a little over-processed? lots to learn.... (01.12.09)
An older shot of a flight of sea gulls heading back to the coast at sunset. And way over processed by me but hell, I like it. We've had a fair chunk of rain over the last few days but it's merely dented the worst drought on record I believe. But anything is welcome. We just didn't need half a year's rainfall in the space of a couple of days.
And the sequel to The Edge has dropped on iTunes/iBooks for those interested.

First day back to work for the year 2010 was brutally cold (inside the building) Over processed? suits me today!
This is the photo after I edited in Lightroom. I mostly focused on brightening the colors, but I worry I crossed into looking over-processed.
Heavily processed Library of Congress photochrom image of the inside of a temple in Bangkok, Thailand.
This is a little more like what I had in mind. If you look at a large version of this, you'll see that the image is way over processed, but at a lower res, it's a lot punchier - suprising how much information is actually there. I really like the crunchy orange of the rust.
Jupiter with Red Spot and 4 Galilean moons.
From Left to Right: Io, Ganymede, Callisto, Jupiter :) , Europa
Taken on 3-21-2017 at 3:40am. Seeing was pretty bad so I decided to over Processed to bring out the moons. OHY5II-c Camera with an 9.25 SCT 2x barlow. 33% of 3000 frames stacked.
This is another over-processed piece of photo-art from a photo I took this morning. The dark foreground is the beginning of a hiking/biking path; just beyond that in the background is a children's garden called Linky Stone Park. The whimsical treatment of the photo seemed appropriate.
Before starting HPAD I would literally just point and shoot. 3 months in I'm learning about processing, DoF and perspective, and taking part in tasks. My photos are still very much of an amateur nature but I'm really enjoying learning.
Here is a Self Portrait which has been over processed, with the 'I squish your (my) head' task thrown in for good measure.
Horribly over processed but I like it! Reflection in a pool at Dunham Massey. Converted to bw and highlights and shadows adjusted.
UPA Minnesota visited CoCo on March 11, 2010, for "Products over Process: Advancing Agility with Design Thinking." David Hussman was the featured speaker.
Playing with lots of over processing with PS elements and a tiltshift program. Over the top but I like it.
I have purposely way over processed this image, trying to create a drawing/painting with imagery, rather than a photo using both Snapseed and GIMP.
I've just got back from an incredible trip to Rio De Janeiro and Niteroi, wow what a country Brasil is. At times I felt like I was back in the 1970’s, everything felt very retro with loads of VW Beetle cars and electrical poles that were way over loaded with too many cables.
I’ve come back feeling inspired to use even more colour in my photography, and I’m hoping to “paint my images” through processing and create a look of my own, which one could describe as gawdy, but I want to capture that carnival feel and incredible vast blue skies that shone upon me during my trip.
20/100 - 100x: The 2022 Edition - 100 Over Processed / Over Adjusted Photos
(See comments for original SOOC image)
This is an over processed picture that doesn't show anything clearly. There is no specific subject on the landscape and the sky is extremely overexposed. I don't like the combination of colours either.
As I am totally overloaded at present I was not planning to visit the Students Summit in the Mansion House on Dawson Street but I ended in the area at five o’clock so I decided to pay a quick visit but I remained for the full event as all the presentations were very interesting.
My Sony NEX-7 is not really suitable for low-light conditions so the photographs may appear over-processed because I applied a lot of noise reduction.
