His name is actually Kalen, not marbles. But those eyes, though.

If you zoom in closely you can see on the underside of his irises, his shirt is reflected in his own eyes.

At first, I thought I might have over-processed something but after zooming in, I was gladly surprised.

He was a champion for his session. He only cried once and we got some really great shots.

For my first time shooting with a baby, it was definitely a win.

Pixel 7a Camera - disappointing to find that a shot has been over processed by your phones AI adding too many artefacts :(

I was testing the front-facing iPhone camera and realized that the only person in front of this camera is me. I don't know why I was surprised. The camera is really low resolution and is not meant for photos. I am not sure if I am going to use it for anything, really. Slightly accusing look is due to the general dislike of being photographed. Of course, in this case no one was forcing me, so I have no idea whom I am mad at. Also it is the morning after New Year's celebration and I need an aspirin!

Anyhow...I thought over-processed selfies of questionable quality are cliche enough...so are New Year resolutions!. HCS and Happy 2011, you guys!

One more is in the comments. Oh, and I saw Cliche Saturday Scavenger Hunt categories only after I took this shot. I think I'll add it to "out of your comfort zone" thread. Because selfies are definitely NOT my comfort zone.

PLEASE, no multi invitations, glitters or self promotion in your comments, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE for anyone to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks - NONE OF MY PICTURES ARE HDR.

This man was working at the site and let me take his picture. He was in heavy shadow so I had to over process the image.

My home office more like a corner office with a great view of the West End here in Vancouver.

From my chair I can see Stanley Park, Cypress Mountain, Grouse Mountain and parts of English Bay.

Today is a cloudy/raining/thundery day so I thought I would try and do a 3 exposure HDR of my setup.

Looks a bit over processed but my settings are the same as my other HDR photos I take. Guess the lighting plays a factor in HDR too.

3 Exposure processed/tone mapped in Photomatix. Light, Curves and Saturation adjusted in Photoshop. Resized to a max of 1024px wide.

I might have over processed these but I wanted to try to see what I could pull out of these backlit images.

yes ... its too much over processed ...

Had fun and games with this one today. I think I over processed the Luminance earlier, and it brought out some artifacts from the camera :-/

The Beehive Cluster, also known as Praesepe (Latin for "manger"), M44, NGC 2632, or Cr 189, is an open cluster in the constellation Cancer. It is one of the nearest open clusters to the Solar System, and it contains a larger star population than most other nearby clusters. Under dark skies the Beehive Cluster looks like a nebulous object to the naked eye; thus it has been known since ancient times. The classical astronomer Ptolemy called it "the nebulous mass in the breast of Cancer," and it was among the first objects that Galileo studied with his telescope.

The cluster's age and proper motion coincide with those of the Hyades open cluster, suggesting that both share a similar origin. Both clusters also contain red giants and white dwarfs, which represent later stages of stellar evolution, along with main sequence stars of spectral classes A, F, G, K, and M.

The cluster's distance is often cited to lie between 160 to 187 parsecs (520-610 light years). The 2009 catalog of revised Hipparcos parallaxes for Praesepe members and the latest iteration of color-magnitude diagram fitting in the infrared favor an analogous distance near 182 pc. There is better agreement on its age, at about 600 million years. This is equivalent to the age of the Hyades (~625 million years). The bright central core of the cluster has a diameter of about 7 parsecs (22.8 light years).

The Beehive is most easily observed when Cancer is high in the sky; in northern latitudes this occurs during the evening from February to May. At 95 arcminutes across, the cluster fits well in the field of view of a pair of binoculars or a telescope of low power.

Just trying to do something different and be creative. Maybe I'm guilty of over processing. However, since I was so rushed on this trip for all of my shots (w/wife and 2-year-old in tow), I didn't feel like I had the time to set up for epic shots and sunsets/sunrises. Maybe I'm over compensating for lack of composition on some of these:) If you take a look at the original shot below, you can see what I had to work with at the start.

How I did this, in case anyone's interested:

* Opened the original raw image in ACR and did my usual process of tweaking the fill light, upping the contrast, upping the blacks, etc. I pretty much use the same process as Tom Bricker, see this tutorial www.wdwphotography.com/workflow-tom-bricker/. BTW, I highly recommend this site for everyone - get yo learn on.

* Once in PS, I upped the shadows/highlights to bring out the shadow detail on the tower and bring it out of the darkness.

* Attempted to remove some of the fisheye effect with the distort tool because of the next step...

* Using the distort pointer tool, widened the base of the picture to use forced perspective and make the tower look… well, towering

* Applied Topaz Adjust on the image to bring out all of the subtle stains and lines in the stucco of the tower.

* Created a ray of light from behind the tower using the technique here: photoshoptutorials.ws/photoshop-tutorials/photo-manipulat...

* Added a rounded corner on the entire picture as shown here: matthom.com/archive/2004/09/10/fast-rounded-corners-in-ph...

Class37/4 37423 hauling a rather dead 60040 on 7O71 0331 Kings Cross Sidings - Angerstein Wharf empty Marcon aggregates train at 0611 (hence the terrible shadows!) on 22nd May 1998. Bit of a story here.....60040 had failed at Camden Road with a loss of coolant, 47467 assisted the train as far as Willesden South West Sidings where 37423 was attached (having worked light from Hither Green). 47467 then ran light to Wembley Yard to work 6L74 to Stratford LIFT! Another slide saved from the bin, hence its a bit over processed! Photo: Ivan Stewart.

I guess I'm now in my over-processing photoshop stage. I want to learn how to photoshop my pictures properly, and I guess I have to start somewhere right?

The weather is so lovely here now, at least for winter:) It's like 50F out here and that's really warm for January:)

I haven't really done much today, but I did do my hair and make-up, and I put on decent clothes today. I did some grocery shopping, some reading and that's it basically. And now Mattijs is taking me out to some vegetarian restaurant for dinner.

REPOSTED as suggested without post-processing except for slight lightening. Taken May 3, 2023, at Highlands Hammock State Park in Sebring, Florida (USA) along the Richard Lieber Memorial Trail. I wasn't able to get a good shot due to the distance and lighting; enhanced with post-processing. Hoping someone can help to ID this bird. Thank you!

Thank you Brad Warnaar (original over-processed post) and Brennan Mulrooney for the Veery id.

alright haha i have been posting a lot of work lately because i have been swamped and its seriously crazy lots of touring bands and stuff just working out GOD is really blessing me with good company in these bands and good friends now in all these bands im shooting and meeting just great people and im glad to help out how ever i can.

they wanted highly over processed photo so here it is

So Contagious is a pop band/alternative pop much like all time low, forever the sickest kids, but can be serious like there for tomorrow or mayday parade/go radio but prob a lil more potency lyrically then ftsk imo, music is great and catchy every thing its supposed to be but the thing that makes these guys so cool is that

these guys are all southern boys like me, from georgia like me, and just a trip especially when you give a whole lotta girls some old seventh story fall hot pants (by the way go buy some SSF merch they need to get rid of it before they by SC merch) haha check em out they have a new music video coming out and a new album soon should be some epic stuff and if u get a chance to meet them do it u wont regret it they def take care of their fans and will talk to you and not shy away like most bands and stay in a corner with a stuck up nose or just pertain to a group of scene hoes. def a gregarious bunch always wanting to meet new people and get their story, just to know what the people around them are about which is always a great change of pace to be around so hit them up, talk to em, give em a listen, buy some merch and support bands like this cause they will def remember you in the long run.

This unusual looking building is a commercial research lab on the outskirts of Cambridge, owned by Schlumberger Cambridge Research. I was originally told by someone the design was to allow for energetic mishaps, but reading up more before posting this I could find no mention of that in any of the write ups of the building I found, such as this one.

I deliberately over processed the colours in this one: I felt the building doesn't look real anyway, so I wanted the surroundings to have a slightly unnatural feel to them too.

I took an obsolete JPG shooter out in the rain. The lens is slow, the dynamic range is narrow, but I still found some scenes I liked. this one required processing (Lightroom, Topaz Restyle, Nik Collection Analog EFX) to come close to what I imagined. The lack of RAW really hurts here, as the heavy downpour concentrates image detail in the midtones, leading to the over-processed look as these are expanded.

A submission to Sliders Sunday, where over-processing is encouraged. Threatening weather over Sydney, seen from the Manly Ferry.

Except for re-sizing to 9x12 @300 dpi and updating the color profile to ColorMatch RGB, this is an unedited photograph. WYSIWYG.

I could have done some minor adjustments to the levels and curves along with using Dfine or Color Efex Pro to make the image more dynamic (brightness and contrast) and smoother yet I'm trying to veer away from over-processing my photographs whenever possible. I think my prime EF-50mm lens did an amazing job in creating this portrait shot and nothing I could do in post-processing could realistically add to the beauty of the model or fix some artifact in the background.

A very over Processed shot of some Artwork on Wood Street in Liverpool my daughter Charlotte tells me it looks like Jake the Dog and the Girl from Stranger Things...But ive No Idea...lol (BEST VIEWED LARGE)

Probably a bit over-processed, but I like the overall feeling I ended up with, and that's all that matters.

BTTL Photowalk Dec'13. More somewhat over processed shots from the edge of the River Severn in the 'shadow' of the original bridge. Before the bridge opened in 1966 a ferry operated in this area, which must have been tricky with the second highest tidal range in the world. Such a grey day...

A cute psychedelic Android. :D

*it's about "over-processing" your picture in a way you like and which looks obviously weird compared to the original.

Urbex Benelux -

Urbexing is a photography genre which involves exploring and photographing abandoned buildings and areas. Photos are usually over processed in order to induce mystery, drama and abandonment in the viewer’s mind. This is one of the photography genres that doesn't require tons of gear, well at least not photography gear. All the gear that is usually required is a DSLR with a wide angle lens and a tripod. Other than photography gear you'll need survival gear.

I think I might have over processed this but I like it anyways.

My Buck Fever That Is!

Here I was, like any normal person hiding in the shade of the bushes, talking to the affable chickadees which is what most people do, is it not? And along comes a not so affable but somewhat curious Orange-crowned Warbler sporting his fall colours.

And not at all a convenient visitation since I was on my cell phone with David, who had been querying yours truly about where I had got to and what I was doing. I responded rather tersely..."Dave....Orange-crowned...gotta go!" For I had presently espied the visitor you see above. And boy was he close! And boy did I blow it! I kept my cool and fired off a volley but my light setting was way too high ..

Having confessed that, I had some processing to do to make this presentable. I cloned out a distracting branch, adjusted the light and contrast but stopped short of turning the bird inside out and despeckling its innards. That would be over processing.

Pleased be advised that no pixels were harmed in the processing of this photo.

Hmm.

No inspiration at all this week. Preoccupied with trees.

Woo makes one sexy asian school girl, in spite of the fact that she is neither asian, nor of an age to be in any kind of school which requires uniforms any more. She's a wizard with makeup.

If this looks a little over processed, that's because it was my intent. I wanted to push the colors and highlights to make it just a teeny bit cartoon-like. I did some dodge and burn by hand to make everything pop a bit more. I wanted to avoid the odd, hard-looking effect you get when you 'dragonize' something or overuse highpass filter layers.

3 exposure HDR 32 bit edited in lightroom. Not a fan of some 'over' processed hdr stuff about. That said it still can be fun I guess.

Indoor set-up.

Thought i'd give focus stacking a go! had to revise my previous edit, when i took a closer look i could tell it really was over-processed. for my personal liking i would tend to boost the colour intensity and contrast but as this is a stacked image, slight changes can drastically influence the entire feel of the image.

Yeah, it's a little over processed but I still kinda liked it. I was just playing with some of the "filters" on one of my iPhone apps.

Jawbone Canyon is a geographic feature in the Mojave Desert and a Bureau of Land Management area located in Kern County, California, 20 miles (32 km) north of Mojave on CA 14. The area is a popular destination for hikers and off road vehicle enthusiasts.

Europeans first settled in the canyon around 1860—naming it Jawbone because its shape resembled a mandible—and the trail was used as a trade route from Keyesville into the Piute Mountains (not to be confused with the Piute Mountains of the eastern Mojave Desert). During the Kern River gold rush, several gold mines operated in the canyon; the most successful of these, the St. John mine, yielded nearly $700,000 worth of gold between 1860 and 1875. The Gwynn mine, on the Geringer Grade, ran six claims yielding a total of $770,000 worth of gold and quartz before ceasing operations in 1942. Mining continued throughout the 1940s, mainly focused on rhyolite and antimony.

Fruits (over-processed picture)

A trip out to The Berry Barn for lunch and then a bit of a walk about - came across this old hay rake. A bit of "processing " and sliding to get to this.

Used Prisma: Transverse Line filter - all in the iPhone. First for a Painterly effect - then used only a bit of a slide for HSS in Adobe Photoshop Elements.
