Not sure how this happened, but I love the effect (not created in post!). I had to move a couple times for cars on the road, but it's very odd that the only thing that blurred was the moonlight.
Barcelona is the capital and largest city of Catalonia, an autonomous community in northeastern Spain, and the country's second most populous municipality, with a population of 1.6 million within city limits. Its urban area extends beyond the administrative city limits with a population of around 4.7 million people in 2017 (being the sixth most populous urban area in the European Union after Paris, London, Madrid, the Ruhr area and Milan). It is the largest metropolis on the Mediterranean Sea.
Barcelona is one of the world's leading tourist, economic, trade fair and cultural centers, and its influence in commerce, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science, and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world's major global cities.

The Feast of the Ascension of Jesus Christ (also called the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, Ascension Day, Ascension Thursday commemorates the Christian belief of the bodily Ascension of Jesus into Heaven.
For this special day, on May 14, 2026, I decided to climb to « La Croix Rampau » (Alt. 464m) from the car park of Poleymieux-au-Mont-d’Or (Alt 335m), near Lyon city, France. It was not in my mind at first to go to the Croix Rampau due to an uncertain weather announcing possible thunderstorms in the afternoon, but finally it was smooth and I avoided by miracle the most heavy rains.. I brought along with me (beside my umbrella,…) my folding 6x9cm folding camera Foth-Film Luxus (Germany, 1930-1934) for a second test film.
The vendor of the camera kindly provided me a resembling rolling bar to the missing one in the camera. I had to do some easy adjustments to adapt the roll that was a bit more longer. I also installed rubber rings on the flask of the film spools to make a friction and help to tension better the film and ameliorated the film planarity.
The FOMAPAN 100 film was exposed for its nominal 100 ISO sensitivity using a Minolta Autometer III light meter fitted with a 10°v viewfinder for selective metering. The camera was hand held and framing using the wire frame viewfinder at the faster shutter speed available of 1/100s. Eventually, focusing was achieved using a LASER meter to evaluate distances below 8m that were reported on the distance scale of the focusing rail.

After the last view #8 exposed, the film was fully rolled to the taking spool and revealed in a Paterson tank with a spiral adapted to the 120-format film with 500 mL of Adox Adonal developer (identical to the original Agfa Rodinal in its formula of 1891) prepared at the dilution 1+50 . The film was processed for 9min at 20°C.
The frames were then digitized using a Sony A7 camera (ILCE-7, 24MP) held on a Minolta vertical macro stative device and adapted to a Minolta MD Macro lens 1:3.5 f=50mm. The light source was a LED panel (approx. 4x5') CineStill Cine-lite fitted with film holder "Lobster" to maintain flat the 120-format film.
The RAW files obtained were inverted within the latest version of Adobe Lightroom Classic (version 15.3, April 2026) and edited to the final jpeg pictures without intermediate file. They are presented either as print files with frame or the full size JPEG's together with some documentary smartphone color pictures.
The results show that I should still find the exact focus of the lens that is clearly shifted slightly forward. When the focus is set at 7m on the distance scale, the infinity looks better at the center. Observing the image directly at full aperture (f/4.5) in the open camera on a translucent paper, indicated the shift to apply to have the focus. I colored this shift on the distance button with a red dot of paint and checked that shorter distances are consistent with.
I will required a third test film to check these observations.
About the camera:
On May 9, 2026, I bought from a local collector, Lyon, France, this 6x9cm folding camera of the early 1930’s. The camera was manufactured by the company founded in Berlin, Germany, in 1926 by Carl Friedrich Foth, a Dutch mechanic engineer. The camera is equipped of a « everset » shutter (no cocking necessary) designed by Foth with the logo of the company « CFFC » (likely for « Carl Friedrich Foth Company » or so) on the selection dial. It operates at 1/100s, 1/50s and 1/25s plus B and T. This version « Luxus » also include a working delayed shutter release.
The 1:4.5 f=105mm lens is also Foth branded and is a double anastigmat (German : « Doppel Anastigmat ») first designed by Goerz, Berlin, 1892, consisting of 6 lens in two groups. There are two viewers on the camera: a little reflex one on top left side that could be flipped for portrait or landscape framing, and a « sport » wire-frame that folds into the camera body.
For its age, the camera is still in good aesthetic and mechanical/optical apparent condition. The covering leather is complete and imitates a sort of lizard leather in a typical « Art Déco » style. The regular versions of the Foth-Film camera were covered with black leather. The leather bag accompanying the camera s likely a recent one, probably hand-made in a very soft and pleasant leather and a good matching style.
The camera takes the regular 120-format film with backing paper and the red window is aligned with the index still existing for the 6x9cm frames (8 views per roll). I readjusted the internal spring blade that allows the film rolls installation. It was too loose to correctly maintain the spools in place. One rolling steel cylinder is missing, and the film will slide directly in the edge of the chamber. This edge is hopefully smooth enough, maybe not to scratch the emulsion.
The focusing plate is very nicely designed ans easy to operate from infinite to the minimum distance of ca 1m. The Havane bellow is well preserved and the folding mechanics operate without effort. In France, the camera was sold by different prominent dealers as Photo-Plait and Photo-Hall in Paris but also by Tiranty (the historical importer to France of Leica) and « Bazar de l’Hotel de Ville (BHV) as advertized in their catalogs. It was priced at 350 francs of the time.
As we were heading east on our second day at sea, we spotted the Royal Caribbean Icon of the Seas (and the Oasis of the Seas) to our port side. These were taken from our port side room (9133). I have never seen the Icon before - I was surprised we caught up. She was about two nautical miles north of us. On board the Celebrity Apex for Seth's Big Fat Broadway Cruise from January 11th to 18th, 2025. The itinerary includes stops in Basseterre (St. Kitts), Road Town, Tortola (British Virgin Islands), and Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic) before returning to Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale, Florida). The best part is that we are on Seth's Big Fat Broadway Cruise again!
