youtu.be/7fhCGCogbqI - Take a Pebble · Emerson, Lake & Palmer
"Just take a pebble and cast it to the sea
Then watch the ripples that unfold into me
My face spill so gently into your eyes
Disturbing the waters of our lives
Shreads of our memories are lying on your grass
Wounded words of laughter are graveyards of the past
Photographs are grey and torn, scattered in your fields
Letters of your memories are not real
Well, sadness on your shoulders like a wornout overcoat
In pockets creased and tattered hang the rags of your hope
The daybreak is your midnight, the colours have all died
Disturbing the waters of our lives,
Of our lives, lives, lives"
One of the local water lilies in bloom. I get fascinated by these plants every summer, and the numerous bees who cavort around in them. I'm not sure if bees cavort but if I was a bee I would definitely cavort in these lilies!
Fun Fact: Only white lilies (& tiger lilies) are scented, coloured varieties have no fragrance.
Did you know there is a plant that is so deadly if you sit under it for 10mins you will surely die? Yep, the water Lilly ;)

Once more about Golden hour of fall in Gribenow
park
On an autumn morning, I stopped by the wood. The sun rays were coming through the fog and the leaves. I was spellbound to see the magical beauty of an autumn morning. When the cold was pulling me to my house I saw this great beauty. I saw a tiny spider web glittering with sunlight. I was stunned to see how a tiny spider web can produce such magical colors. I tried to capture this beautiful moment.
I hope you all have enjoyed ur autumn
And hope u all will love this picture.
Have a happy Tuesday.
Remains of the original wooden pillars from the 1915 pier. As it fell in disrepair; it closed in 1990. ~14 fires occurred from 1990-2004, and then the State Government removed the floor decks and preserved the pillars.
It is located on the top of Mount Erice, in an absolutely privileged position.
In ancient times, Erice was known for its temple, the sacred thémenos, where the Phoenicians adored Astarte, the Greeks Aphrodite and the Romans Venus.
Mount Eryx served as a reference point for navigators of whom Venus soon became the protector.
At night, a large fire lit in the sacred area served as a lighthouse. The fame of Venus Ericina became such that a temple was also dedicated to her in Rome and her cult spread throughout the Mediterranean.
What remains today of the ancient fortress was the work of the Normans who seem to have reused, for its construction, the material coming from the reconstruction of the pagan temple.
In ancient times, the castle was enclosed by towers, advanced fortification works connected to each other by two crenellated curtains and above all by a drawbridge.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Layers of Colour.

White Woodpeckers - it is a distinctive inhabitant of lightly wooded savannas and grasslands and forest edge of central South American. It occurs from extreme southeastern Peru east to northeastern Brazil and south to Argentina. The White Woodpecker has a white head and white underparts, set off with yellow patches on the hindneck and belly; there is a black stripe that extends from the rear of the eye to the mantle; and has black wings and tail. The White Woodpecker typically forages in groups of 5 to 8 individuals, sometimes in mixed species flocks with members of the woodpecker genus Colaptes. An arboreal species, the White Woodpecker feeds predominantly on fruits and seeds, but will also feed on insects. White Woodpeckers occasionally open bee nests to get at the honey and insects within. Picture taken at Pantanal - MT.

Birds of prey, or raptors, include species of bird that primarily hunt and feed on vertebrates that are large relative to the hunter.
This is my contribution to the Smile on Saturday group theme "Shades of Gold". I tried several setups and liked this one best as it looks quite festive. And more golden tones almost aren't possible, I think. :) HSoS !
The Becci of Ladram is a commercial fishing vessel that’s moored in Exmouth Marina, Devon, UK. Skippered by Tony Wreford, the Becci of Ladram is a 10-metre Potter and Netter, which is fully licensed by the Marine Management Organisation to catch shellfish and prime fish, and fishes according to Devon & Severn Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority regulations. As you might expect, Skipper Tony is something of an expert when it comes to fishing these waters – he’s been working in Lyme Bay for fifty years, and knows exactly where (and, importantly, when) to look for the best crabs, lobsters, cuttlefish and whelks..

This image was taken from my son this summer from his tour in Ireland. The stop at the pretty university town Galway, hike to the Cliffs of Moher, a magnificent place, between a green "very green" and a blue "immense". Through his eyes and mine processing, adding flying flock and texture...
thanks for recent visits , really very appreciated

If you decide to travel along this highway into the bowels of the Universe, carry enough fuel to cover the billions of light years ahead of you. You won't find a place to refuel. When you have travelled this distance without finding anything, not even a little bit of intelligent life and you reach the far reaches of the Universe... don't be scared... there's nothing there, either. Only the "nothing". Or since everything is cyclical, perhaps you have returned to the place where you started, full of wisdom from your long trip. It's probably better to look for intelligent life on Earth, but it's also very likely that you'll have a hard time finding it. Don't worry about not understanding the Universe or the reason for its existence... you're not Einstein, but one day you'll understand that... The Universe is wounded, but it still has infinity ahead of it. It still has you and me. Merry Christmas to all and to the infinite Universe that is within you.
Gregory Alan Isakov - The Universe

Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Parts VI–IX
"Shine On You Crazy Diamond", was written as a tribute to Syd Barrett, one of the founders of Pink Floyd. He was also known as "The Crazy Diamond Syd". Barrett was a very creative musician and is considered one of the rock icons, with a strong influence on many artists, very especially to David Bowie. Syd Barrett is a key piece to understand the evolution of rock in the 70s.. Excessive drug use, especially LSD, caused him serious mental health problems. Syd Barrett died in 2006 at the age of 60. Always shine diamond.
The Universal is a science fiction song written as a tribute to two films by film director Stanley Kubrick. In the video, the Blur members wear outfits similar to Alex and his gang of thugs, the protagonists of the movie "A Clockwork Orange." The image used for the cover of the single alluded to what is possibly Kubrick's best film: "2001: To Space Odyssey."
We haven't changed that much in 300,000 years of evolution.

It was a good day -
On a way to a State park, we learned of a huge accident on interstate so we had to take a detour of 3.5 hours instead of usual 1.5. But it was all worth it...wild flowers along countryside road were so beautiful so I had to stop and take it all in..

Wildflowers and Trees create a day to remember… Table Mountain, California.
Re-edit of an earlier post. I'm a work in progress; but the progress is oh so slow :)
Created by ancient lava (basalt) flows, the approximately 3,300 acre North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve is an elevated basalt mesa with beautiful vistas of spring wildflowers, waterfalls, lava outcrops, and a rare type of vernal pool, called Northern Basalt Flow Vernal Pools. Typically fissures in the basalt soak up winter rains, forming seasonal streams and waterfalls. In a few places, however, the underlying basalt is impermeable to water forming a temporary pool. Soon to dry up after rains end, only specialized plants and animals adapted to this habitat can survive over time.

"The birds of paradise,
With wings reaching free and far;
Their singing never dies,
Though centuries go afar.
Their longings are for peace,
Knowing things of worth;
Man is only what he believes,
From the day of his birth.
The forest and each leaf,
Are there for reasons too;
Some may be so brief,
Others stand longer than you.
Change of time will make,
New growth from the old;
Around the brook and the lake,
Colors we cannot hold.
Clouds will come and go,
With clearings in the sky;
Just like a breezing blow,
Suddenly - to start, and die."
