Students of Junior KG section had a grand Fancy Dress Parade. The theme was “Jungle” and the variety was charming. The day fostered knowledge about the forests and animals among the little ones.
The tiny tots came dressed up in creative and colourful costumes depicting their favourite animals. Each of them described the character they were dressed up as. The variety was charming and heads of giraffes, rabbits, lions, frogs, tigers, bears, snakes, monkeys, zebras, elephants were bobbing up and down. There were ‘butterflies’ and ‘birds’ in the midst flying around a few ‘flowers’ on some ‘trees’. Not to be missed were the little Tarzans and Janes and the forest officers who safeguard the jungle. It was a junglee day at Preschool.

This was taken pretty much at the end of the night. Lisa has pretty much given up and taken off her epic wings when we noticed there were a few feathers that have dropped on the floor. So, with Skye pinning her down to the floor, feathers flying everywhere mixed with a top down shot we get... well, I'm not entirely sure. But it's pretty :)

Students from College of DuPage composition courses showcased visual representations of their written works at the second annual “See Writing Differently: A Celebration of Student Writing.” The event featured the capstone research projects of more than 500 English 1102 students and included websites, podcasts, PowerPoint presentations, posters, brochures, videos and art created in conjunction with written works.

Long Beach is a city in Nassau County, New York, United States. Just south of Long Island, it is located on Long Beach Barrier Island, which is the westernmost of the outer barrier islands off Long Island's South Shore.
The city of Long Beach is surrounded by Reynolds Channel to the north, east and west, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south.
Long Beach is approximatley 26 miles from New York City and is accesible via the LIRR Long Island Rail Road

"One of the most ancient churches in Milan, it was built by St. Ambrose in 379–386, in an area where numerous martyrs of the Roman persecutions had been buried. The first name of the church was in fact Basilica Martyrum.
"When St. Ambrose arrived in Milan, the local churches were in conflict with each other over the conflict between Arianism and the Nicene Creed as well as numerous local issues. He was firmly in support of the Nicene side of the conflict, and wanted to make northern Italy into a pro-Rome stronghold. He did this through both preaching and construction. He built three or four churches surrounding the city; Basilica Apostolorum (now San Nazaro in Brolo), Basilica Virginum (now San Simpliciano), and Basilica Martyrum (which was later renamed in his honor). A fourth church, Basilica Salvatoris (now San Dionigi) is attributed to him as well, but may not actually be from the 4th century. These churches were dedicated with anti-Arian language and as symbols of the wealth and power of the pro-Nicene faction in Milan.
"In the centuries after its construction, the edifice underwent several restorations and partial reconstructions, assuming the current appearance in the 12th Century, when it was rebuilt in the Romanesque style."

Friends of the Physick Estate held a Victorian Valentines Workshop Friday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. at Cape May United Methodist Church Hall, 635 Washington St., Cape May, with instruction about Victorian Valentines traditions. Several dozen participants created Valentines greeting cards to send to friends and family. All supplies and light refreshments were included.
