Well, all that porridge doesn't grow on trees, you know....

Ever since I was a kid I've always been fascinated with astronomy. I'm finding it fun to incorporate into my photography.

Sea oats growing along the oceanfront build dunes that help hold the sand, thus protecting the shoreline from erosion and storm surge. A 6" sea oat may have 5' roots which will stabilize the dunes against erosion. Also, above the ground, the sea oats catch the windblown sand, which increases the dune size.

Uniola paniculata or sea oats, also known as seaside oats, araña, and arroz de costa, is a tall subtropical grass that is an important component of coastal sand dune and beach plant communities in the southeastern United States

I spotted this wild oats plant growing in a field of young barley still wet with early morning dew - taken at Cambooya - Queensland - Australia

A field of yellow oats beckons; a dash through the tall grass, wind blowing through air, an instance of zest, this moment forever burned into film.

Community Farmers' Market

On a Saturday morning you can buy all sorts of produce fresh from the farm.

The stalls are scattered under the trees and almost resembles a flea market.

It is in a wooded area and some of the old trees have been sawn off at chair height.

After getting yourself some breakfast you find yourself a nice "chair" where you can sit down and enjoy it.

Very laid back and amiable atmosphere.

This shot was taken at Seagrove Beach, Fl, in September, when the oats actually bloom or whatever it is they are doing!

I keep thinking I need to pack a bucket of oats when I go on my adventures. I know that there is a horse & a mule in this pasture most of the time. When I first stopped neither was close to the house. Finally the mule com where I wanted it to be. I should have some oats for a chum & a reward.
