We assume as obvious that geometry illustrates numbers and not vice versa , but the geometry concepts are equally abstract as math concepts and a kind of proof for this is Euclid's second definition (Book I): "A line is breadthless length" , because real world does not have a line that has no breadth.

In addition, in Euclid's books number theory appears after geometry, it starts only in the seventh book of the " Elements " and ends in the ninth , but if it had a preference it had to come before it, since the literary practice is to put the important things first.

Euclid lived in the third century BC, but his books summarize the vast numerical-geometric knowledge collected during the three hundred years before him, and that includes the most important discoveries of the Pythagoreans. The Pythagoreans would look at numbers arranged in geometric patterns of small stones or as dots on a page. This practice inherited to us, among other things , the term "Square Numbers" , but also Linear Numbers come from the word line, and line is a geometric shape .

is applicable only in geometry - but it may be applicable also to numbers theory since the odd numbers series never meets the even numbers series - each series is spread along a parallel line.

We are used to look at numbers, or to visualize them as dots, as if between them there are spaces , while we treat the divided line as though there are no spaces between its sections. This is a fundamental difference because from a numerical point of view numbers are individual islands isolated from each other, and from the perspective of geometry we actually see how the numbers are entering each into the other: one is included in 2 as its half , and both are included in three as two-thirds and the three first numbers appear in the four as three quarters , and the four in five as four -fifths of it, and so on.

This interconnectedness may help us understand that the pulse testifies about the flow of the blood, that testifies about the breath, that testifies about the oxygen, that testifies about the trees, that testify about the water the sun and the earth.

No one had posted in awhile, and I wanted to get this pool moving again, so I just figured that 6.77 gallons of gas would be a good amount to get today when I filled up. $3.09/gallon for regular in Durham, NC. I initially uploaded a photo that indicated the "gallons" label on the gas pump, but the number wasn't prominent enough to be see clearly in a thumbnail.

Fenway Park in Boston had an Open House to celebrate its' 100th anniversary.

Fans came by the thousands...

This line of fans in the bleachers are waiting to sit in the famous red seat... which signifies the longest home run ever hit at Fenway. The Ted Williams hit on June 9, 1946, was officially measured at 502 feet .

The numbers 9, 4, 1, 8, 27, 6 and 14 are the Red Sox retired numbers. (blue 42 for Jackie Robinson of course)

Arabic is read right to left, but numbers are read left to right. That's why the G is at the left endof the Latin text, and at the right end of the Arabic text.
