As long as everyone else is making the pavement impassable for pedestrians then it's only to be expected that one more will turn up and do the same.
So, the first thing I did was add the page numbers...I'll have to consult with my friends because I'm fairly certain I probably messed it up....I caught myself a few times....I'm like that, you know....like with those pesky do-it-yourself calendars? I NEVER NUMBER THEM CORRECTLY....so you could imagine my anxiety when my friend, who is doing this with me, decided the first assignment should be to add the page numbers...geesh.....she made me jump right in and wreck it on the very first assignment! LOL. The verdict is still out, but my guess is I didn't number them correctly...it SEEMS so easy.......
OK, off my lil box.....I am a scrapbooker at heart, so I decided to get out all my letter/number stickers for this first assignment....as long as I never need to spell anything with the letters "l" or "i" or need any numbers, I'm still good for a lifetime on the letters. Yeesh......it took me 2 hours to do this....who knew?
LK Ludwig's class. Copper metal mesh. Used stick-on numbers; used a stencil and rubber cement as a resist - sprayed Novacan (sp?) to age the mesh then peeled off the pieces to reveal the mesh.

This artist had been commissioned to improve an underpass at the bus station in Poole, Dorset, UK
The patterns they had on the wall were fascinating.
Dave Green photographing one of Tatsuo Miyajima's artworks. I think the idea was to try and figure out which seven segment LEDs he was using. As you can tell, my photos are useless for that purpose, but hopefully they look kind of nice.

The New England Holocaust Memorial was built to foster memory of and reflection on one of the great tragedies of our time, the Holocaust (Shoah). The effort was begun by a group of survivors of Nazi concentration camps who have found new homes and new lives in the Boston area. Dedicated in October, 1995, over 3000 individuals and organizations from across the community joined in sponsoring the project.
Made for the HMPC swap on swapbot. Theme: "numbers." I had such a mental block on this one - - funny b/c I thought the theme would be easy. But, what I had envisioned just Did Not want to come out onto paper. Does that ever happen to you? The background is oil pastel blocks in different shapes. I tried to experiment with acetone to see if that might do anything neat but it just ended up eating up the gesso. I covered the spots with black gesso, trying to salvage it, added the book pages from a very old book, with the edges stained with black ink. The numbers, though are significant to me - - they are birthdates of my family.
Supporters of Palestine rallied in Melbourne for a third time. Although numbers were smaller compared to the previous two pro-Palestine protests [one, two] that occurred in the city - the Palestinian/Israel conflict has been largely 'out of sight, out of mind', plus the COVID-19 pandemic remains a real and seemingly ever-present threat - the demand for Palestinian justice was as clear as ever.
