I have chosen this sixty year old barometer for Macro Mondays theme; "numbers". It is a desktop model, in a solid mahogany case, and it is just as accurate as todays modern digital versions.
HMM!
The #s 14 and 41 lined up here by chance. "The combination of numbers in the reversed mirror hour 14:41 gives the person energy to overcome the obstacles they encounter. The angels are sending a message of their support along the way. They ask the person who is seeing this mirror hour frequently to have patience and never rush into action."
This photo is nearly organic :). I took it RAW so it naturally came trough some editing but I didn't do anything distinct with it, just slightly tuned the colour and the light balances. Nevertheless it looks like a HDR image, why? I think the reasons are the streetlamp light and especially the thin layer of snow which lies on all the surfaces, windows, sails, booms and boards.
The red series of numbers in the background is a work of environmental city art. It's maybe the most mainline landmark in Turku city. It looks pretty tiny here but actually it's quite large scale stuff, it has been fixed on the side of the smokestack of a power plant. The name of the work is "Fibonacci Sequence 1–55". It has been innovated and designeg by a famous italian artist Mario Merz.
Here is some information about the fibonacci sequence in mathematics. With these numbers we dance around the golden ratio, which is a very important variable in art and photography, maybe the most important.
This American Robin was a usual visitor to the backyard, don't see many during the year. They fly in in large numbers and in a hour all the berry's are gone. They are a amazing bird !

One of the requests I get from time to time is to make a triptych of house numbers I have found on my many urban walks. They are usually a combo of numbers to celebrate a special date like a wedding. Initially, I thought it would be easy to make a portfolio of numbers because I only needed to go up to 31. The triptych for today would read 26 3 22. However, once I began paying attention to house numbers, I realized there were very few house/building numbers under 100! Charlottetown, PEI still has several homes in their downtown core with the low house numbers and their numbers often have that Maritime charisma. Then there is the old city of Quebec that has several house numbers with 1/2. I posted this one for the theme “Numbers” to make you Smile on Saturday!
HMM....... the macromondays theme for today is numbers. my intention is to show you the inside of a broken clickr-- it's just a little over 1 and a half inches ...
dang, was going to use the mostly washed one but cloning/dusting on picmonkey took off the EXIF data.. so this is the undusted one
**** and in my defense, this was a clicker i rescued from an electronics recycling bin so i could take it apart.
Chingford, Yardley Lane Bus Stand.
With the folk leaving the bus at the end of the route, the driver has a few minutes to himself (stand time) before returning to Walthamstow.
This Week`s Challenge called "numbers" for the Macro Monday. That`s the first try - quick and dirty.
#numbers
The school was first... 1878, the church was next 1907).
This is one of several churches in my village... there is a Church of England church in its own grounds.... this is the Methodist church... the building is shared by the Salvation Army... they work together... up the road there is a church whose meetings are held in the YMCA building...
In my view (purely a personal view)... On Portland, as our faith fails and changes, the churches come together. They are part of the community that already exists and central to my mother's generation.... the churches grow by focussing on the needs of the people regardless of faith.... I do not know whether their numbers grow... but they are part of our community first...
A commemorative trinket from 1976. It also ties in with this weekend's US Holiday. For a measurement see this photo. Happy Macro Monday everyone.

The wader most likely to be found along Ireland’s rocky shoreline. Mainly a winter visitor from northeast Canada and northern Greenland but good numbers pass through Ireland in spring and autumn en route to/from arctic and subarctic breeding grounds. About the size of a Starling, with a stocky build and short orange legs. In winter, its dark brown upperparts, white underside and black breast crescent make it difficult to see amongst seaweed. Spring birds are brighter and show rich chestnut markings on the wing and back. In flight, Turnstones show a series of black and white stripes, resembling a miniature Oystercatcher. Usually occurs in small flocks, moving with head down, constantly flicking over seaweed fronds, pebbles and beach debris with its short, stubby bill, in search of sand hoppers and other invertebrates.
Known in North America as the 'Ruddy Turnstone', there is also a second species, the 'Black Turnstone', which lives on the Pacific coast of North America.
