I went down to the waterfront today looking for something nautical to shoot & lucked out with numbers too. You have no idea how badly I wanted to remove that guy standing by the #2 storage structure. I'm not sure if he brings anything to the scene - visual interest , or clutter?

Hopefully the bright colors will inspire Leah to love learning her numbers!

Cream colored paint was painted over the original markings by workers when Car 60 was on display at Rail City Museum. Gentle sanding reveals the numbers were a deep yellow-orange color, which was the RTC style in the 1950s.

Each car was given a placard with a number to make voting easier.

Gas station pump in White's City, NM

Since it was crazy storming, this whole show almost didn't happen. Luckily it cleared up but The Magic Numbers had to forfeit their set - almost. The Flaming Lips let them come up and do a couple really lovely acoustic numbers. The bass player chick is hot and rocks out.

Spending another day shooting around the house. This belonged to my stepdad. It was developed in Lightroom using the B&W Low Contrast preset.

An LED taken up close. I liked the colour!

Another Plymouth to Newton Abbot training run with the newly allocated Class 175 units running in a double formation, presumably the presence of two units negating the need for a local standby Thunderbird loco?

175002 and a UID classmate are seen running into Totnes with the 5D05 1301 Plymouth to Newton Abbot.

One Picture a Day for September 23, 2007

I've been in the mood to make something, work on something, be crafty... etc. Brooke and I were at the store and she pointed out a paint by numbers kit. I figured I'd give it a go. I took a picture of the unpainted board and plan to take pictures and I go along. Hopefully this won't be too difficult.

Probably painted by the Carnegie Foundation when they were doing reconstruction in Chichen Itza
