Additive manufacturing (AM) is rapidly changing the design and production of all kinds of products, from those used in daily life to critical parts utilized in advanced technologies. With the increased national and global focus, there is clear evidence of the growing demand for technicians in AM. The Additive Manufacturing Workforce Advancement Training Coalition and Hub (AM-WATCH) is being established to address gaps in the knowledge base of 21st century technicians to ensure they are prepared for advanced career placement. This project is significantly enhancing and expanding AM resources developed by prior NSF projects (including remote facilities, learning curriculum, and educator workshops) to encompass hands-on desktop 3D printer-building modules, equipment operation/maintenance curriculum, and additional remotely-accessible equipment laboratories. In addition, AM-WATCH is establishing a number of cutting edge AM innovations and targeting the engagement of students, including those in underserved and under-represented groups, in STEM and other technical careers.
The objective of AM-WATCH is to address gaps in the current knowledge base of technicians through the development of curriculum and educational materials, delivery of professional development activities, support provided to 30+ community college and high school instructors per year, and expanded outreach activities targeting K-12 and community college teachers and students. Tennessee Technological University is collaborating with Community Colleges (CC), four-year universities, the ATE National Resource Center for Materials Technology Education, a national laboratory, industry, and government in the development of cutting-edge and multi-dimensional curriculum, activities, and toolkits for instructors.

Bus services in Hong Kong have to be amongst the best of all major cities in the World.
All major Hong Kong Bus Companies invest heavily and are using mainly brand new double decker buses and all of them are testing and introducing single and double decker 100% electric buses and also hydrogen powered buses for future use.

☛Many Hong Kong Government Departments have a fleet of buses but for some reason also contract hire from Private Bus Companies on an “as needed” basis.
Any Government OWNED and operated vehicle in this section (such as Correctional Services Buses, Police Buses etc ) have a licence plate starting AM and any Chinese Military Vehicle has a licence plate starting ZG and naturally some of these vehicles have personalized licence plates which they buy at Government Auction!

A number of demonstrations passed by peacefully in the centre of Manchester on Saturday 2 August as officers worked with organisers to safely facilitate protest and minimise wider disruption.
We had a large number of dedicated resources deployed to the city as we worked with partners to put in place prepared plans to ensure the day passed with little incident.
Officers on the ground helped ensure the protests passed peacefully.
Two large planned protests involving hundreds of people gathered at St. Peter’s Square in the early afternoon with no incidents of note.
Officers ensured protestors were able to safely exercise their right to peaceful process, while minimising disruption for the wider public and the transport network in one of the city’s busiest locations.
Earlier in the day, two arrests were promptly made during a confrontation at the start of the march to the city centre.
We worked with the organisers and partners to minimise wider disruption.
Chief Superintendent Colette Rose, Gold commander for today’s police operation in the city, said: “Today was expected to be a really busy day in Manchester with plenty of planned protest action from different groups in the middle of the city. We’ve had extra resources in place to ensure people could peacefully protest and to minimise disruption for the wider public.
“Thanks to the work of our officers on the ground, and the plans we put in place alongside our partners, hundreds of people from different groups were able to gather in a safe manner with no trouble of note.
“Greater Manchester is a place where people should feel free to exercise their right to lawfully protest, while ensuring that those who live, work, or visit here can feel safe to go about their business and enjoy their day.”
