Under sombre, looming skies, 91108 passes Gamston Bank on one of her last northbound runs under her own power, at the head of 1S12 the 10:30 Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley. After almost exactly 31 years service, racking up an astonishing 7.6 million miles, 91108 would be the first of the class to go off lease just three days later, running from Bounds Green to Doncaster works light engine under her own power on 23/07/2019.
91008 made history on 11th March 1989, being the first of the class to reach Leeds in passenger service; a location she would go on to regularly serve for the next 30 years. Thanks for the memories no.8!!!

I asked a number of friends for directions to the Tom Clarke Bridge and not one of them had ever heard of it even though three of them drive across it at least twice per day.
The Tom Clarke Bridge, formerly and commonly known as the East-Link Toll Bridge, is a toll bridge in Dublin, Ireland, on the River Liffey, owned and operated by Dublin City Council. The bascule-type lifting bridge, which links North Wall to Ringsend, is the last bridge on the Liffey, which opens out into Dublin Port and then Dublin Bay just beyond. The bridge forms part of the R131 regional road.
Originally adopting a functional name, the East-Link bridge was officially renamed as Thomas Clarke Bridge by President Michael D. Higgins to commemorate the Irish republican Thomas Clarke. The renaming ceremony was on 3 May 2016, marking the centenary of the day Clarke was shot in Kilmainham Gaol for his involvement in the 1916 Easter Rising.

Two centuries after the Bhagavata Purana to your right was illustrated Mewar artists used essentially the same palette, but their approach to depicting buildings was radically changed. At first glance you may think that Jagat Singh's island retreat could not possibly be as drawn, but this is true only until you realize that the Western method for showing perspective and distance is just one of many techniques and that none of them is correct. The artist painted this picture from several different vantage points on the palace roof. Thus, the image shows both sides of the arched colonade with the brown rug on the floor and the pink roof all at one time. Some distance is indicated by the figures standing on the roof in the foreground being larger than the men heating water and cooking below. """

These are instantaneous sketches taken directly from nature, here on the coast, in the French countryside, and in the mountains of Picos de Europa.
Haes was a moving force in the transformation of landscape painting, bringing a completely new concept of the interpretation of Nature, with a realism that was sensitive to all elements.
In all his landscapes, Haes very exactly captures the physical aspects of each of the elements he depicts. In some, energetic, impasto brushstrokes are used to reproduce the rough character of the rocks, while the clouds are rendered with more diluted paint. Thus, Haes builds the landscapes with paint itself. The cold and humid atmospheres are captures with very subtle coats of paint that envelope and hid the mountains. This technique of subtle and transparent brushstrokes is also used with other darker tonalities to show urban pollution.
In his studio in Madrid, this extraordinarily well-trained painter accumulated a huge number of small sketches made over the course of his trips through the geography of Europe. When he died, his collection was kept by his disciples, who donated it to the Museum of Modern Art in 1889.

We then bought some crisps from superdrug which were 5p a packet (; and sat outside greenwoods waiting for rachels mum to go to the opticians for rachel. She got checked and got some glasses which i like (:
