I took this photo on the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. I saw this man and his son and I loved his visual look. They were visiting from San Antonio, and I had just spent a month there fro work. We spent a good ten minutes talking about the best places to eat there. 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
So.. handheld ... the number 18 on my new camera :) Iso 1600. Now I still have to learn a lot. ( no noise treatment)
Martello Tower Number 73 in Eastbourne in East Sussex (UK) Number 73 is also called The Wish Tower.
103 Martello Towers were built mostly in the South East to defend the United Kingdom in the Napoleonic Wars from 1805. Around a third of them still exist. All have been numbered or lettered and this one is number 73. There's several of these historic structures in my home county Essex.

Pol Pot was born as Saloth Sar and called Brother Number One by the Khmer Rouge. He died in 1998 in the jungle where Khmer Rouge had withdrawn after the Vietnamese overthrown of power in Phnom Penh in 1979.
The man was never arrested or brought to justice.
This picture is part of my set Horrors of Khmer Rouge
Built in 1890s and used as schoolhouse until mid-1940s. Since then, occasionally used as community building and church. Presently vacant.
This is a 12" vanilla cake cut to resemble a number one The boots were made, one pair each for the twins, out of fondant and are entirely edible.
