An average page from my work notebook that shows just how incomprehensible my notes can be!
If the music notes are a clue, this is a day when I was helping my boss transcribe his choir's sheet music into braille.
Knowledge of how to read sheet music is most definitely an acquired form of literacy; You realize how complicated it actually is when you're breaking it down, measure by measure, note by note.
Some of the writing may be important, but often when I'm sitting with him and he takes a phone call or is otherwise occupied briefly, I will doodle and write random things to entertain myself.
Journal „Castle” from collection „Diary of Princess” - my interpretation on, how those diaries can look like these days.
This journal may serve as
- a diary
- a sketchbook
- a notebook
- a „good wishes” book (e.g. for newborn, on birthday party etc.)
- a guest book etc.
Measurements and materials:
Size A5 ( 21.5 x 15.5 cm), 2.8 cm thick, hardcover.
Includes 85 sheets of semi-dense white drawing paper. May be used as well for writing a as for drawing or sketching.
Upper cover is wrapped with semi-linen fabric, back cover is rapped with white handicraft paper. Bound with brown cotton cord, one end of which can be used also as a bookmark. It is a great pleasure to hold this book in hands and write in it.

An old teen series paperback recycled into a handy notebook with a few select pages left in as section dividers.

Flat Bobby and I took time out last week to visit a sculpture on the University of Nebraska campus. The design and the words on the notebook pages reflect on Lincoln and Nebraska, including everything from the Platte River to the Sower on top of the State Capitol building (pictures of him to come in a few days). In the battle of saving you from “the bad”
I've been keeping a pocket journal now for about 30 years. I number them when I retire them. The one in my pocket now will be number 59, so I guess I go through about two a year. I don't understand how people who don't have notebooks in their pockets stay alive.
