For a swap-bot swap.

This was my first notebook with the signatures sewn directly into the spine. It was loosely based on this tutorial, though I used a single thread for sewing rather than using a separate thread for the centre signature.

The notebook is about 9.5cm by 7 cm (3.75" by 2.75"), with 3 5-sheet signatures made from 100gsm laser printer paper. The cover papers are textured washi paper with gold and silver flakes, and the inside of the cover is patterned origami paper (I forgot to get a photo of that). I strengthened the paper for the spine by glueing it to Tyvek. The sewing is with 2 strands of DMC embroidery cotton.

Here is my notebook cover for my {secret} partner in Super Swaps. I can't show the front cover yet as it will give it away.

I found a notebook that matched - yay! I also put a button and loop closure on it. I love buttons and hope you do too!!

Partner - you said you liked red and aqua - so that's what you got! I hope you like it!
