I love cute notebooks.

“All the noise in my brain. I clamp it to the page so it will be still.” -Barbara Kingsolver

Similar to hummingbirds almost always being on the move when awake, my brain tends to be quite active. I have found it helps tremendously to get some thoughts that won’t quiet down on paper. It’s rare that I don’t have a notebook with me and I plan on always having one as a companion.

59 year old Eddie has been acting like a teenager ever since he got his new notebook. He just won’t put it down and is forever flicking between the pages trying to find something he scribbled down a few days ago. Dave looks up and shouts “Oi, Eddie get off that £% notebook and fill the $€¥§ water tank, you know that you’re not allowed to use your personal notebook when on duty!”

I bought a couple more kits to play with, this one was notebooks & folders with lined paper. Not too hard to put together, but there's a lot of cutting. The two model planes were also part of the kit, but I don't know why LOL. Anyway, I put them together too. The kit is 1:12 scale, but I think it can easily work for 1:6 also.

Today's entry in my lomo notebook.

I love these days when my mailbox is full of letters.

Here are my first efforts in the world of book binding, small A7 sized notebooks, and I have to say I am pretty pleased with them as an initial attempt, which is unusual for me.

I didn’t have any book cloth and it is quite expensive, so I made my own using some old cotton twill trousers. I simply cut out a piece of fabric, laid it on a thick piece of glass, and then overlaid it with a larger piece of tracing paper coated with PVA. I then gently (don’t press too hard) rolled over it with a printing roller and allowed it to dry.

Escribiré en tu corazón;

una historia que tal vez nunca sera nuestra;

tuya y mía quizá sea;

pero de nosotros jamas sera.

En una pagina completa escribiré,

un Te Amo del tamaño del cielo;

tan grande como los sueños,

y tan pequeño como la vida,

para guardarlo;

justo en el centro de tu corazón.

Me disfrazare de un poeta sin vocación,

para dedicarte breves versos carentes de pasión,

sabiendo muy bien que terminare escribiendo sin control;

Un día no muy lejano me daré cuenta;

que necesitaría mas de mil libros;

y que seria indispensable escribir dos mil libros mas;

I take tons of notes, and in between taking notes and listening to lectures I also doodle crazy things in the margins everywhere. Here are some of them...

washi tape makes everything pretty!

Fuí a su casa a fumar un porro. Me invitó a cenar. Apenas hablamos. Fue genial.

I went to his house to smoke a joint. He invited me for dinner. We smoke more joints until we finished the beer. We hardly spoke. It was great.
