These are so cool *_* The left one says: "Diploma for good and excellent behaviour" and the right one: "World conquest plan. Approved by general headquarters".
This was made from a poster and a standard spiral notebook. The spiral binding was removed and the paper trimmed to accomodate the new binding and image. The cover is laminated to preserve the image.
Four times a year, at the end of each quarter, the notebooks are collected and graded. Of course I want to see everthing --- class notes, vocabulary sheets, cultural info, verb info, tape recorded practice sheets --- everthing completed and in the specified order. Now is that asking too much?
It takes a while to grade the notebooks, but it is worth the time and effort, and I feel good knowing that, when the students leave me, they have a great "resource of information" to use in future Spanish classes.
I saw this notebook in the impulse buy section while waiting to check out at Office Depot. I couldn't resist!
If you are into journaling, but not necessarily Moleskines, you need to check out Notebookism. I was asked for a bio/caption and some art when he found my Guan Yin piece and asked to use it. Needless to say I am thrilled. hehe
Notebookism is accepting submissions and is a great venue for journal artists who may or may not use Moleskines.
With all the added exposure I am getting into high gear! Look for my new MONSTERS! coloring book and updates to both Odonatia and the Renmeleon blog. Now I just need a laptop!!! LOL :::adds to wishlist:::
Thank you A! :) :::happy dance:::

If you are looking for Moleskines and (gorgeous) handmade journals, drop me a note as I have a unique source.
Attempted something new. Bambi was from an old notebook I did for Billie a few years back. I managed to salvage the xs piece, without the frame (nice frame with all the cute animals). I used a notebook and did some changes, add in Bambi, cut the frame with a plastic covering (transparency) and got a nice notebook for Billie (again).

A friend of mine in the art dept at work was making notebooks out of scrap paper and album covers, so I brought him some stationery I had hanging around and a record I picked up at the library sale, and this is the result.
Here are my first efforts in the world of book binding, small A7 sized notebooks, and I have to say I am pretty pleased with them as an initial attempt, which is unusual for me.
I didn’t have any book cloth and it is quite expensive, so I made my own using some old cotton twill trousers. I simply cut out a piece of fabric, laid it on a thick piece of glass, and then overlaid it with a larger piece of tracing paper coated with PVA. I then gently (don’t press too hard) rolled over it with a printing roller and allowed it to dry.
