Four times a year, at the end of each quarter, the notebooks are collected and graded. Of course I want to see everthing --- class notes, vocabulary sheets, cultural info, verb info, tape recorded practice sheets --- everthing completed and in the specified order. Now is that asking too much?
It takes a while to grade the notebooks, but it is worth the time and effort, and I feel good knowing that, when the students leave me, they have a great "resource of information" to use in future Spanish classes.
An excavation notebook, in French. From a temporary exhibit about the archaeology and study of Deir el Medina. It is a work of art. In ink, no less.

...this is a picture both of things I really enjoy — reading and writing — but also of my (relative) wealth.
Not one, but two Kindles; not one, but two traveler's notebooks, with relevant accessories; wool carpeting; the camera I used to take the picture; the computer I'm using to write this text, and the free time I have to write it.
I went to Borders (nearly couldn't get to Borders because I had no idea what the building name was!!) and was hoping to get a fabric wrapped notebook from 'paperchase'. The one I have now is used to record scribbles of the amigurumi designs as I crochet.
I couldn't find any of those, so I have to settle with whatever they have in store. Then, I spotted this notebook with the graphic printed eye on the cover, I know immediately this is MY address book.
Will be making the indexes myself, since address book is really scarce now, hence the lack of selection.
Did this sketch in about one and a half lattes last year at a local cafe. A dryad is a female tree spirit from greek mythology

It's Moleskine look alike, I used this journal since the start of 2006 and just finished it at 2007 year end. This journal had travel with me to many places : Singapore, Beijing, Guilin, Hong Kong and New York (not included some local trips). May you rest in peace, my friend.
This notebook is made from felt and was hand embroidered from a pattern drawn by myself.

It's spring (no matter what the calendar says) and the temperatures are in their up-down cycle. Today was 82 degrees and I spent a lot of time outside- taking the opportunity to draw while I did :)
Now the clocks have gone forward, it is light much later, meaning we get more outdoor time :)
