I recently got myself a small notebook for no fuss drawings when i am traveling or whenever I get the urge to draw or sketch. I used to bring a huge sketchbook wherever I go, but I end up never drawing because I feel like I'm wasting paper on doodles.
For someone as frugal as me, cheap paper is the way to go.

This is what it looks like when closed. I have a Zebra TS-3 0.5 mm mechanical pencil clipped inside, which, though it's small (see the open-book photo), bulks up the area near the spine a bit and prevents it from staying closed when it's lying on the table. It stays closed just fine when it's in my pocket.
The size of the notebook is A7, which is 74 by 105 mm, or about 2.91 by 4.13 inches. It's a good size to fit in my pocket, and just a little wider than the Moleskine Volant (65 by 105 mm) according to Moleskine's website. The pencil is nearly as long as the book, as you can see when the book is open.

This might be too much structure for some people. The graph doe not go to the edge of the page, and there are header blocks. The greay ruling took me by surprise. I was expecting purple.
