Took a walk around our new neighborhood in the early morning, giving other pedestrians a wide berth (walking dogs in Christmas jammies, pushing strollers, wearing masks.) Being outside almost feels normal except for those small details.

the most i usually have on my iPhone is a screen protector noticed that RL's one had a full wrap around skin , decided to give it a go. took it to a master installer nearby (apparently, a bit tricky to apply, cos of the many pieces etc). when i hit the shop, no one else was there and he said it would take about 15 minutes but when i returned there were half a dozen salarymen crowding the store all getting their 3G's done, too.
recently found this crazy demo.
what was also surprising was that i was instructed to not use it for 48 hours, to allow the skin to "set", which was interesting.

Taken on 8/24, this special edition…or late edition due to travels…of the FFF features an ale from a Hawaiian based brewery. I know, I know, with the constant threat of volcanoes, high markups due to just about everything needed to be imported, crazy six-legged Elvis loving aliens running wild, and the fact that people greet you by saying “goodbye”; there really isn’t much appeal to actually visit the Islands. Except maybe possibly this week’s shot-3-nights-late feature, from the Kona Brewery, will get me on a plane…read on to find out why.
Located on the Big Island, Kona was started up by a Hawaii loving father/son team. Their fondness of the islands and craft beer is the inspiration behind their brews and pubs. In fact, the bar in one of their pubs is made from a large piece of driftwood which washed ashore.
Hawaiian flavors are kept on the forefront when designing their ales. This is probably why the Fire Rock Pale is not your typical pale ale. One of the 2 launch ales initially released in 1995, its uniqueness will be a surprise leaving you wanting more. The malt bill consists of Pale 2-row (fairly common), Munich (not unheard of), and Honey (whoa! what a great idea!!!) malts. Hop bill contains my favorite hops Galena, as well as the Cascade and Mt. Hood varieties.
The Fire Rock, as far as I have found, is one of 3-4 beers bottled to be distributed to the mainland. They boast over 24 different brews available on tap at their brewpubs. Twenty-four! Thus making them a must visit when I get the opportunity to travel.
Exercise! My gym is temporarily shut down for renovations. I'm finding it even harder to get out and be "healthy" lately.

Starting early on the August MSH with the topic "Note to Self". August is a busy, busy, busy month for me with school starting back up. I'm so ready to get back to teaching, but there is a lot to do prior to that all starting back up!
P.S. It's not really an "angry day" - I just love the shirt. I think it's the angry moose that does it.

New pack of post it notes that I opened today. These have so much potential, leave me what yours would say in the comments. I especially like the "Received By Self" checkbox.
