and the wind was howling.
But this was a great old truck and I couldn't resist stopping to take a couple of pictures.
.....In a world in chaos.....
No wait...that was an echo from a movie trailer I just heard.... I was suffering from delirium though. (apparently I still am)
Experimenting with off camera flash...it was located about a foot behind me and to the left pointed towards the background. The camera, in order to trigger the remote flash, sends a low power flash from the 'in camera' pop up unit. Well, it's not so low power to my eyes. I had to continually fight the urge to shut them. And my left eye always seems to start first. So after multiple experiments, I was indeed delirious and seeing spots, eyes beginning to tear....must be overly sensitive to light. I suppose the easy solution would be a pocket wizard or the like.
Kung fu...
I did a photo shoot for some friends who are in a band, Note to Self.
They were so much fun to work with.
You should check out their music at www.myspace.com/thekidscallitnotetoself
Haven't tried it yet. This photo is actually just a high fidelity note to myself, so I can remember what the stuff was, if I like it. (Another brand's sandalwood was harsh, although not like their enhanced interrogation technique-worthy lime and bay rum. We'll see.) Nice label, though, regardless.

Created with fd's Flickr Toys.
The pattern, written by Tara Schorr for Spun Magazine is punk rock for two reasons:
1. Duh. It's named after another Carla.
2. It's named after another Carla who's as funky and weird as I am.
How so? I quote the pattern:
Tara: "Carla, what on earth are you knitting?"
Carla: "An eyeglass case for my mom. With bunny ears!"
I. Must. Make. This. Bag. And that's why. Consider it in a queue, as a tribute of sorts to other weirdos, other Carlas, other odd knitters, bunny ears, and people that understand that bunny ears are sometimes necessary on eyeglasses cases.
my fave wonton noodle joint
