Sgt. 1st Class April Boucher belts out notes during a performance by The Volunteers, an Army rock 'n' roll band, at a reception for the U.S. Army All American Bowl on Jan. 4, 2012 in San Antonio. During the reception, Army leadership shared how influential members of local communities could support the recruiting effort by sharing the benefits of military service with young people. هذا الكتاب من الكتب الدقيقة و المهمة جداً حيث يحوي على ملاحظات دقيقة جداً تفيد من يرغب بالسفر في فلسطين و الأردن و لبنان و سوريا فالمؤلف قسم الكتاب إلى 16 فصل بحسب الطرق التي سلكها في تجواله في بلاد الشام فيبدأ رحلته من القنطرة باتجاه القدس ماراً بالعديد من المناطق و منها إلى يافا و من القدس إلى بئر السبع و طبعاً في هذا الطريق يمر من بيت لحم و الخليل و من الخليل إلى باب الواد وكما و يورد ملاحظاته عن كل طريق بالتفصيل ليبدأ بفصل جديد عن الطريق و السفر من القدس باتجاه عمان و المناطق التي يجب أن يمر بها المسافر كما و يبدي ملاحظاته المهمة للسفر من القدس للناصر و من الملاحظ أنه في أغلب الفصل اتخذ القدس مركزاً للانطلاق نحو المناطق الأخرى أما في الفص السابع يتحدث عن السفر من الناصرة لحيفا و من اللد إلى حيفا و منها إلى سمخ و هي منطقة قريبة من بحيرة طبرية و منها إلى دمشق كما و أن الفصل عاشر كان يتحدث عن السفر من الناصرة إلى طبرية و الفصل الذي يله كان للملاحظات التي تهم المسافر في السفر بين عكا و الصفد و قد كان الفصل الثاني عشر مخصص للملاحظات المهمة في السفر بين طبرية و صيدا أما الفصل الثالث عشر فخصص للتحدث عن الطريق بين طبرية و دمشق.
أما الفصل الرابع عشر فقد تحدث عن السفر من حيفا إلى بيروت مروراً بصور و صيدا وصلاً لبيروت و منها إلى شتورا فدمشق و هذا كان موضوع الفصل الخامس عشر ليختم الفصل الأخير بالحديث عن الطريق بين القدس و القنطرة
و الجدير بالذكر بأن الملاحظ قد اشتملت على لمحة مختصرة عن المدينة و المسافة و الزمن اللازم للتنقل بين كل مدينة و أخرى و المناطق التي سيمر بها المسافر في أثناء رحلته و غيرها من المعلومات المفيدة و الدقيقة

Promissory Notes takes its inspiration from West African currency that was traditionally worn as jewelry to signify the wearers’ success and embody their power. The currency forms are dramatically enlarged and oriented vertically, suggesting the outline of a ship’s hull. This sculpture calls to mind the historical significance of the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, the perpetual movement of immigrants, and their hard-fought wealth—both economic and intangible—needed to build their communities. This sculpture not only memorializes the unsung contributions of the African American community, but is also a tribute to the travels, trials, and perseverance of all who call Bayview-Hunters Point their home.

My job involves helping groups of people identify the structures of their documents, assign names to the parts of the documents, and figure out in what patterns these document parts occur. We use sticky notes instead of the many electronic tools for this because participants know that there is nothing permanent about the placement of a sticky note and that they can get up and move, remove, or replace one at any time.
