Internal note-
The leaf pattern of the lancets was altered to fit a mistake in the window frames.
The huge steel frames were supposed to be built after the glass was designed, but one day on the site we found them laying off to the side, already built to a standard window specification.
The image in this photo has been squeezed down in Photoshop to show how the leaf pattern was supposed to look. The leaves here are the same length all around and fall into a circle, as do the leaves in the facade.
As fabricated, they fall into a vertical oval that was stretched by others to accommodate the error by the builders.
- [ continue on the fact that the window frames were welded with arbitrary horizontal window dividers before the stained glass was designed. I wanted them to remove them and put in horizontals that fit the design. Instead, only the spaces for the major medalions were changed. The rest of the horizontals were left in place and the design of the leaf pattern was stretched to fit. This struck me as chintzy- but typical, that saving money on welding time would outweigh the design of the glass.

This was the first thing I ever printed. It was handset with metal type (Stymie) and printed on a Vandercook Universal I at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. A return address was printed on the flap. The envelope liner was computer-designed and was printed on an inkjet printer. The stationery was from Paper Source, which also carries templates for the liners.

Note the "Amazing Spiderman 2" promotionals (including a big red spider along the side of the Hard Rock cafe). On the right, there was promotional material for a new series called "Blacklist" (starring James Spader), which I saw the pilot for at Comic Con... looked pretty good.

Cat came through and we went to the Note for dinner before gig. Sometimes I manage to stop myself from ordering spicy burger/spicy chips. We both had the soup and it was really good, then I had the curry, good, but Cat had the sweet and sour tofu and it was pretty spectacular, recommended

Overnight, someone placed this musical note (which I noticed as I processed the photo was in the shape of a lower-case B) in front of Creole Gallery, Robert Busby's home and gallery. By placed, I mean permanently affixed to a post which is anchored to the sidewalk. I wouldn't be surprised if there had been some city complicity in the memorial piece of artwork which a number of us suspect was created by a local artist/businessman who has had a hand in creating a couple of businesses in Old Town.

This is the way a "note" used to be sent. This is part of a collection of old correspondence, christmas cards, post cards and valentine cards that I've had for years.
It seems I am sooo behind that I lost track of the deadline dates! lol Well I can't post it to the challenge but I can share with my contacts! Maybe I should make a "note" of challange deadline dates!
In a bid to declutter, came across this little note from a dear friend on a party bag. The bag may now be gone, but the memories will live on!
