The coal and the empty coal went well, the Bernburg handover was also in the box and finally I was glad after a long day that the lights were coming on everywhere. The cold was merciless. In Peißen I wanted to buy a loaf of bread and there she was: Franzi! Hair pinned up, lipstick, big earrings, a turtleneck top without sleeves, and beaming. It was warm in the bakery. Everything clearly, I toke the bread and Franzi with me, for a long walk with her and her sassy dog. But she didn't want to rent a pond with me for sell fishes later. Unfortunately there wasn't any more time. And so I drove off to Halle-Trotha harbor for a completely different kind of appointment.
This picture here shows what came of it. In the whole film strip it is the only shot that is like this. The reach steaker really only parked briefly and made this shot possible. Would Franzi have liked that too? Definitely!

I was down by the river taking shots of the birds, and as I turned away, this gentleman called for my attention. He asked me to take his picture. I don't normally take people (other than family), but was happy to oblige him! He has such a classic look with his apron, big mustache, and most importantly, big smile!
