WAPO takes the corner at CPF196 in Portland viewed from the Fore River Parkway. It was in Auburn when we intercepted the train and made it a plan to chase them all the way down to Portland as they had a great lashup of three blue dip 6-axles.

Nice is nice :-) Literally!!! Those three shots were all taken from the castle gardens.

Arundel Castle, working home of the Dukes of Norfolk. It isn't anywhere near Norfolk, but don't let it bother you, one of the litttle quirks of English history

Same bench as last image, but this time with a lady looking in the far horizon and talks on the phone. Perhaps she says: you've got to come - amazing view!

I was told by some local birders that seeing a White-eyed Vireo in Cuyahoga County in November was a pretty nice find. I was also told that getting a clear shot of one of these quick movers is pretty tough. I would have to agree. Taken in a thicket of low bushes at Huntington Reservation Metro park.

I woke up this morning, and thankfully was checking social media, as I learned that NS 27A would have the freshly repainted Reading Heritage Unit as the rear facing DPU. The weather today was certainly a challenge, but Delaplane, Virginia offered a great opportunity for a nice clean up-close profile shot. It was a good was to spend my sunday afternoon.

Winder, GA

Hall County

Nice clouds and morning there while hiking around in Bryce Canyon.

Owing to our elderly dog, we can no longer travel very far from the car, so I was very happy to get this threatening image from a local croft with lovely light on this old hawthorn, just before the rain pelted down and I could dash back to the car. This resilient old hawthorn survives sandwiched between uprights for an old wall, likely associated with the old Marble Line works near Broadford, Isle of Skye. That's Beinn na Caillich looming in the background.

Just like we did, stop and refuel....but just fresh air. Nice track for a small round with dog and camera.

Thanks for all the faves and kind comments!
