As well as bringing with it the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, a more localised anniversary is also being celebrated in 2012 ... 110 years of Warrington Borough Transport.

It doesnt seem like two minutes ago since T201 AFM was driving around the streets of Warrington celebrating 100 years of service to the community, but alas time flies, and it is now the turn of DK07 EZR (70) to sport a commemorative livery.

The livery features buses and trams both past and present from the company, as well as images from more recent advertising campaigns along with the bus itself being temporarily renumbered to 110.

At my home office, where my work relies on a network connection, I now have a backup and a backup backup network.

On the left is my cable modem- NPG cable today was doing some un-announced service and it blinked out. I then tried to use the iPhone to message the office (switching it off the wireless form the cable modem to EDGE network) but whatever outage there was must have been regional, because it was unable to connect to the cellular network.

Lastly, my Alltel EVDO modem worked like a charm... by the time I had tried Networks number 2 and 3, number 1 came back on.

Holly here from Blythe Network News. The beautiful Leonor is in Rio Grande Brazil right now and has been having a wonderful time with mari. Despite some rain they have been spending time out and have gone to the movies. Geo is with Sai/Rebecca in Germany. She was caught up in customs for a bit and a whopping 75 euros needed to be paid. This little one has covered a lot of ground. For those who have not heard, sweet Amelia is missing. My heart is just not into reporting tonight. From all over the world messages of encouragement have arrived. The Traveling Blythe Program has touched many people and brought them together. It is sad to think of one of our sisters being lost, it is a fear we all share. Let us hope for the best and send some good thoughts to Gbaby all those who care for sweet Amelia.

8/15/11 News update: Hundreds of people who are not hosts of the traveling blythes are posting photos on flickr and fb. Offers to make reward posters, to give reward money, to make calls and more are coming in from all over the world. Jen the brass cupcake is diligently making calls and has set aside her day to try and get in touch with the building mail room and post office in california. The post office will not discuss with anyone other than the sender or receiver. I know it is very sad because of course we all relate it to our own girls which is very scary. Obviously amelia is one of our girls by the love everyone has been showing. Gbary has been a rock during this and we all send love to her.
