These are the connections between the switches and patch panels *after* they were cleaned up considerably.. It doesn't look too much different today (3.5 yrs later.. ) but most of the connections are defunct as our production systems have moved to a real data center.

The loco began her long service with British Railways in 1965 as E3190 but was renumbered to 86210 in 1973 under TOPS and took the number 86902 in 2004.

Like all good things that come to an end , she was withdrawn from the Network Rail Fleet in 2014 and laid unmolested at Booth's Scrapyard in Rotherham for two years until the cutter's torch was lit up in 2016 to prepare for dismantling in her 51st year.

The last time I went to GMA Network Center was after the Climate Action Forum of YFPH, but during that time, it was raining very hard. So, I decided to go back to the building again (after our courtesy call to DepEd) to take pictures, and I was able to retake pictures of its iconic building in a beautiful sky this time.

GMA NETWORK CENTER

One of the famous landmarks in the "City of Stars" is the GMA Network Center, the main headquarters of the Kapuso network.

The structure was started to build in 1996 as part of upgrading the network's old facilities and finished in 2000 as the station was celebrating its 50th year in the broadcast industry. Notable events happened on that building, such as the rebranding of the then "Rainbow Satellite Network" to today's "Kapuso Network" (Kapuso Mo, Anumang Kulay ng Buhay) at the top of GMA Network Center. Aside from that, a monument was installed on the facade of the structure, and it was sculpted by Eduardo Castrillo in the same year (2000) depicting the network's leadership in television and radio broadcast industry.

I was going to title this one "working the room" but thought that might imply something less than honorable so I'm not going to call it "working the room"

I can't recall where this illustration came from. It might be a detail from a magazine story or possibly an ad. Going thru some old stuff and seeing what I've saved.

Maybeshewill - Not for Want of Trying

Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's worth, banks are going bust, shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the street and there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it.

We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat, and we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes, as if that's the way it's supposed to be!

We know things are bad - worse than bad, They're crazy! It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out anymore. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we are living in is getting smaller, and all we say is, 'Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone!' Well, I'm not gonna leave you alone!

I want you to get MAD!

I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot - I don't want you to write to your congressman because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street. All I know is that first you've got to get mad! You've got to say, "I'm a HUMAN BEING, GODDAMNIT! My LIFE has VALUE!!"

So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs.

I want you to get up right now, and go to the window, open it, and stick your head out and yell: "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!!"

I want you to get up right now, sit up, go to your windows, open them and stick your head out and yell - 'I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!'

Things have got to change. But first, you've gotta get mad!... You've got to say, 'I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!' Then we'll figure out what to do about the depression and the inflation and the oil crisis. But first get up out of your chairs, open the window, stick your head out, and yell, and say it:

I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!

EBRD, Annual Meeting and Business Forum 2014, Warsaw, Poland, AGM, Discussion Panel.,

The last 25 years of change and transition since the fall of the Berlin Wall in former communist Europe have produced both transition champions and transition laggards. What are the growth prospects for the region in the short term and the longer term? Will income convergence with the advanced countries resume and, if not, why not?

There is widespread consensus on the policies and reforms needed to invigorate growth, yet reforms have stagnated since the mid-2000s. What are the political, social and human capital constraints standing in the way of new reforms and how can these constraints be overcome? What can be done to re-ignite reforms and create a virtuous circle of sustainable growth and greater prosperity?

In this photo, my two roommates and I had just finished eating dinner. Sigrid was washing the dishes and Maggie was on her computer. There are two main networks seen in this photograph; one being our connection of living with each other and cleaning the apartment together. The other network seen is on Maggie's computer. She was on blackboard checking her homework and updates from her professors. UNCW uses blackboard as a way for professors to post assignments and grades for students to be able to view and interact on.
