Detail of the new The Hague terminal of the Erasmuslijn designed by ZJA Zwarts & Jansma. The Erasmuslijn is the vital 'Randstad Rail' light rail link between Rotterdam and The Hague.
It turns out I had a dodgy camera on my drone! I was a tad bit disappointed with the image quality when I first got it but put this down to me being used to the sharpness of the 5D and L lenses. I began to wonder I had a duff when when other people were experiencing concerns on DJI's forum too. I sent some RAW files to DJI and they confirmed the camera was faulty, anyway, I got a replacement drone and image sharpness is loads better.
Now I have to re shoot the lock shots I took over the past few weeks, this being the first. The colours are also loads better from the Phantom so I've decided not to process in mono!
With a thumbs up from D.S once again, HNRC (on hire to Colas Rail) Ex DRS Blue 37612 and BR 'Small Logo' 37610 top and tail the 1Q90 1515 Derby R.T.C.(Network Rail) to Ferme Park Recp. PLPR Network Rail test train through Waterbeach.
We have had so very little bright light or blue skies lately. I go out to take pictures and come back uninspired but feeling fresh. This is an image I took last week when sunlight was peeking through the bush where we were hiking. Usually I am looking for distinct patterns in the trees for my composition. However, this time I was drawn to the network of branches and how tightly they were integrated with each other. Often we see forests with trees replanted in rows. This is about as untamed as you can get with a forest. And the light was just enough to make it interesting. On the dull days, I am glad for my network of connections who share their images and keep me inspired for the next photo opportunity.

Episode XXIV
Hi Folks,
during the last days we had to stay indoors due to weather warnings – but we were provided with an extra bucket of honey which we shared, although I kept a tiny little extra XXL portion for myself to create a delicious yoghurt-honey or honey-yoghurt, depending on the mixture. PLOP was of great help. He had the wooden spoon in his beak and flew quickly around the pot to guarantee all was mixed properly. You can imagine, the two of us had a lot of fun in the kitchen, everything there was so perfectly sticky. But here we are, that’s what honey is about.
LUNA is a good girl (you can see she has grown enormously and put on weight, so I must keep an eye on the honey) and cared for little MAGNUS as a kind of training if she has a gang of her own babies in the future. The little Napper loves her dearly and she loves him …
… and SHE is very proud of us and SHE loves us as much as we love HER!
