I am definitely not a city person, and I'm so very thankful that I can live in the country. :)
It was crazy windy today! The wind almost knocked me over while taking a photo. The animals didn't seem to mind it much, and they were very energetic. Two playful calves were running back and forth and around and around the grownups. They were so cute! The horses were playful as well, though I missed capturing it. The one galloping horse I tried to photograph ran straight to my car to talk to my neighing daughter. :)
Meanwhile, at Sakura's Cherry Blossom Ranch...*
"Hey, what are you doing out there? You need to get in the stalls! It's almost time to sleep."
"Exactly! I couldn't sleep at all because you three were up to all hours neighing about every bit of farmyard gossip you could think of!"
"Huh?? We're all good neighbors!"
"Right! You're not 'neighbors', you're 'neigh-bores'! Boring me to tears with all your neighing."
"What about Bessie, there? She was gossiping with us! Is she a 'neigh-bore'?"
"Don't be silly. Bessie's a cow. She's a 'udder bore'! Haha!"
"Urf. That's a weak joke. And you talk about our gossip..."

These came into service earlier than I thought. September? I don't think so! However that means the end of AL PVLs and Weevils is neigh 😱😱
These are clearly different than usual StreetDecks, they sound higher pitched and have tad faster acceleration. Note the stickers at the side still state "Hybrid | Cleaner Air".
And yes, 44 is a mess today and this turn was from Tooting 😂
Now bad joke time: the WSD class is back. Let's hope it's not on its course for deroofement. If you get this... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
These beautiful creatures are set to be rounded up by helicopters by BLM management to make room for domesticated sheep to occupy the public lands. Over 400 horses are set to be grabbed, injured, traumatized and then likely sent to slaughter. This needs to stop! A public protest is set to take place tomorrow, July 2, 2021 at the Utah Capitol in Salt Lake City

Another glorious sunset. Sorry folks but I'm a sucker for the sun setting over a body of water. This scene caught my eye as the branches formed a natural frame.

As the sun falls over Neigh Bridge Lake the whole scene had a hint of gold about it. This shot was taken about 15 minutes before my "Blue Hour" shot at the same location.
Plus it makes a nice change from birds of prey :-D

Another shot from Niegh Bridge Lake, Somerford Keynes. No the evenings are drawing in, i'm pretty mich out of time after work to get many more sunset shots during the week :-(
I decided to underexpose this shot a little to bring out the dark tones of the sky.

This little pink unicorn toy was just neighing gently to be included in this week's "Macro Monday" .... with a topic of: Fictitious .... Magic!
This magical unicorn wispered into my ear .... "saying it wanted a more peaceful world" 🌎
"It was really sad now, wars happening, innocent people, especially children being killed,"
It sobbed, spilling tiny unicorn tears.
I shed a tear 😢 also.
Love & Peace .... Sean

The tide rises, the tide falls,
The twilight darkens, the curlew calls;
Along the sea-sands damp and brown
The traveler hastens toward the town,
And the tide rises, the tide falls.
Darkness settles on roofs and walls,
But the sea, the sea in darkness calls;
The little waves, with their soft, white hands
Efface the footprints in the sands,
And the tide rises, the tide falls.
The morning breaks; the steeds in their stalls
Stamp and neigh, as the hostler calls;
The day returns, but nevermore
Returns the traveler to the shore.
And the tide rises, the tide falls.

~Mark Twain
Polly was an early settler in the Strathbogie Region, nick-named Polly because he couldn’t grow a beard. Legend has it that one night, he was driving his horse and jinker home and missed the bridge, falling into the bottomless waterhole so that Polly and his horses were never found. The ghost of Polly McQuinn and his neighing horses haunts the waterhole to this day and can be heard echoing in the breeze on quiet evenings.
I spent most of my summers as a child and teenager at this waterhole with my best friend whose family were early settlers to the area and owned a farm there (still do). The endless hot days would bring groups of teenagers to the water, laughing, splashing and lounging on the rocks in the baking summer sun. The large boulder you see to the very left of the image was used as a platform to jump or dive into the water, aiming to impress the shy girls, trying not to look but looking nonetheless.
We used to think about poor Polly, especially out in the middle of the watering-hole where the water was cold and deep and wonder if it really was bottomless or whether we would be the ones to discover the skeleton of the jinker-or even worse, the beardless man himself.
My last chance this year to get some sunset shots on a week day due to the ever shortening hours of daylight and work commitments.

Every year there are morninglories in a neighor's yard down the street that are the largest I have ever seen. They climb along the fences and into the tree in a lovely vegetable garden.

After getting cancelled in 2013, Oregon Symphony Fireworks return this Thursday August 28th, 2014. Like for 4th of July, the fireworks barge is located between the Hawthorne and Marquam bridges, but crowds are way smaller. Watch the wind direction though, photographically smoke from the fireworks can be a problem or a mixed blessing… N36304
Calgary today (April 22, 2009)-----cloudy with wet flurries. The temperatue is dipping down to minus 5 C overnight.
I don't know where all these bikes came from, but my guess is that their owners left their bikes here, either because they were to take the subway - the green, round roof in front of the cathedral is the subway entry - or they were going to University buildings around in the neigh-borhood - not shown on this photo.
