These wild horses were grazing just off the trail on our hike up Mt. Nkwala. They are used to lots of humans stopping, gawking and making all types of ridiculous sounding horse neighs. They must frequent the area as we saw them the last time we hiked here as well.

Neighborhoods around the city of Porto. General view of the bank of the Duero River, where we can see, in addition to the neighborhood, the commuter train and a ring road. The multicolored houses stand out, and the passing of a subway that, as a curiosity, has several graffiti incorporated.

😂Apologies for the bad pun, I’ll neigh do any more.

I love how some people take the time to make the world a more interesting place for others. Passing this old byre in Kilmory, I did a double take, as I spotted the pony, looking so lifelike out of the door. 10/10 to whoever did this. I think it looks great!

Bloody mad!!!!!!!!!

Well at least thats what our youngest told me when finding out we'd ventured out this morning

It's been several weeks now since I was last out with the camera, so the thought of capturing some large waves was very appealing

We got up at 5.20am, a bit of a lay in as I certainly wasn't expecting any sunrise colour

Yes this is the most recently named storm Babet, in all her fury.

I've captured many large waves before in stormy conditions but this must have been my most challenging to date

What we put ourselves through to capture an image.

Attempting to get focus was neigh on impossible in the 60-70mph winds, as the gusts even lifted me off the ground at one point

Just heard on the news the lighthouse at Southshields, just up the coast from here, has lost it's dome sadly

I had hoped for a return visit later today, as I had a few ideas I wanted to try out, sadly it wasn't to be as the heavens have opened with torrential rain

The Guardians of Eternal Water

Gloria, in her Hindu dress that danced to the rhythm of the wind, walked guided by the Kailas of Turia, majestic creatures with shining eyes who seemed to know the secrets of the world. After hours of following their steps, they came to a clearing where an ancient stone well rose between the roots of a centuries-old tree.

Gloria didn't know it, but that well was more than a simple spring: it was a wishing well, guarded for centuries by the Kailas. With their ancient wisdom, they only led to it the souls they deemed worthy, those whose hearts were free of selfishness.

As she looked into the crystalline water, Gloria felt a profound calm, as if the universe itself embraced her. One of the Kailas, the oldest, bowed his head with a solemn gesture, inviting her to drink. She understood, then, that the well could grant a wish... but only if it wasn't for her, but for the good of others.

Her soul trembling with emotion, Gloria prayed that the land would flourish, that no one in that valley would ever again suffer thirst or hunger. The water shone with a golden glow, and the Kailas neighed in a chorus that resembled a sacred chant. Her wish was granted.

Since that day, they say that the water in that place never runs out, and that the Kailas continue to guard the well, waiting for the next pure heart worthy of their magic.

We had a call this morning from the Wild Mustang Protection, about a Red Sorrel mare who was captured by poachers the day before, and that they had bought before it ended badly for her.. They said she was fine but very fiery and wild, and they couldn't leave her there. They saved a lot of wild mustangs from the claws of the bad guys and as they know that we have a lot of room at the Ranch, but also that we know how to work with respect with the horses, they asked us if the mare interested us. Well, she was a Red head, I love red heads horses, so, certainly ! We accepted and they came with her to us at the beginning of the afternoon.

When they arrived, they told us that the loading had been complicated and that the road had been hectic, the mare had not stopped hitting the trailer and neighing, no doubt she wanted to find her herd and her freedom, but it was over for her.. It was better that she stay with us, at least she would be safe.

When we opened the door of the trailer, the mustang had already turned around then got up on her back legs and rushed forward ! We barely had time to get out of her way, avoiding being knocked down. Fortunately we had backed the trailer into the field, all we had to do was close the barrier and let it calm down. What an entry!

Das besondere an Mannheim ist unter anderen, dass der Innenstadtbereich in 144 Quadrate aufgeteilt ist, Straßennamen entfallen - will man sich zu Recht finden,sollte man das ABC beherrschen : )
