First I photographed the set in the unopened box. Then with the dolls taken out of the box, but still attached to the inner cardboard backing, which slides out of the box like a tray.

The Škoda 14Tr trolleybusses have been roaming the streets of Vilnius since the early 1980s, and (somehow) are still very much alive. Their ends seems neigh though, as this year the deliveries of the 32Tr trolleybusses have started. The 32Tr series is a cooperation of Škoda, which provided the electronics, and SOR, which was the provider of the general shell of the trolleybusses. The new trolleybusses are already so numerous, that they seem to have completely pushed out the old 14Tr trolleybusses outisde of workdays.
I was very sad to see how few of the 14Tr are still active and I had real trouble getting in some intresting shots. One of the ones I'm really happy with is here.
Škoda 14Tr13/6 numbered #1630 is one of the newer trolleybusses, as it comes from 1997. Here it is seen on a December's late evening, as it's stopping at Šv. Petro ir Povilo bažnyčia (Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, seen in the background), while running line 17 from Žirmūnai to Naujininkai.

The Adventure Merida and Formal Merida 11'' dolls from the Disney Store are taking aim at the same target. Adventure Merida is wearing the satin cape of the 12'' Mother Gothel doll. They are joined by the 4 1/2'' Transforming Triplet Princes, and by the 12 1/2'' Plush Angus with Sound.
I will call the Merida Doll from the Brave Angus and Merida Doll Set the Formal Merida, as she is wearing the teal formal dress. The separately sold Classic Merida I will call Adventure Merida, as she is wearing the dark green adventure dress. Since these two dolls are identical except for their outfits, I think of them as twins.
Found abandoned by a young neighbor 3 days ago. The girl's parents would not allow the dogs to stay in their home for more than a few hours, so, along with another neighbor we took them to my vet for check-up and vaccinations. They are being dewormed, are mange free, and have been treated for a huge flea infestation. We were able to get a rescue group (K-9 Angels) to sponsor them. They will be available for adoption once they have had their second round of vaccinations, in the meantime my neighor who shared the cost of vetting with me is fostering them.

Burchell's Zebras do not neigh like horses, but make a yipping or barking sound. They also whinny, snort and bray like a donkey. They use various sounds to communicate with their members of the herd. I thought this was going to be a wasted journey, but just as sunset approached the clouds cleared slightly to give a stormy sunset.

La crucifixion de Jésus est représentée dans un vaste paysage. Au premier plan, une procession sinueuse se dirige vers une ville. Le cadrage serré et la présence de nombreux figurants confèrent à l'image un caractère théâtral. La scène illustre le moment où le centurion aveugle Longinus perce le flanc de Jésus. Une goutte de sang tombe sur la main du centurion, qui s'en touche l'œil et recouvre la vue. À cet instant précis, Jésus meurt et, comme le décrit la Bible, les ténèbres s'abattent. Fait remarquable, cela ne concerne que la ville située à l'arrière-plan, à droite ; celle de gauche est épargnée. Grâce à la fidélité de la représentation des bâtiments, on reconnaît Jérusalem, la ville sainte. Il est fort probable que Jan Provoost ait visité cette ville en pèlerinage et se soit inspiré de ses propres observations pour composer le paysage urbain de ce tableau. Il est possible que cette Crucifixion ait fait partie d'un triptyque, avec deux scènes de la vie de sainte Catherine (actuellement conservées au musée Boijmans van Beuningen de Rotterdam et au Musée royal des Beaux-Arts d'Anvers, KMSKA). Selon la reconstitution, ce triptyque aurait constitué le retable de la chapelle de Jérusalem à Bruges, où sont conservés comme reliques un éclat de la croix et un morceau de soie ayant appartenu à sainte Catherine.
Le cortège de spectateurs et de soldats retournant à Jérusalem après la crucifixion regorge de détails qui captiveront votre attention. Les gens discutent, désignent Jésus du doigt et, assis sur leurs chevaux, s'adressent la parole. L'excitation est palpable, le hennissement des chevaux et les conversations de la foule sont presque audibles.
Cela contraste fortement avec le moment où Jésus est transpercé au flanc et prononce ses dernières paroles avant de mourir. Il domine sereinement l'assemblée, accompagné seulement des deux bourreaux et de deux anges qui soutiennent son pagne. La mort de Jésus sur la croix est un sacrifice par lequel, selon la foi chrétienne, les croyants retrouvent l'accès au ciel. L'Eucharistie, partie intégrante de la messe liturgique où le pain et le vin (symbolisant le corps et le sang du Christ) sont partagés avec les fidèles, évoque ce sacrifice. Ceci confirme que ce tableau devait être un retable, devant lequel la messe était célébrée.
The crucifixion of Jesus is depicted in a vast landscape. In the foreground, a winding procession makes its way toward a city. The tight framing and the presence of numerous figures lend the image a theatrical quality. The scene illustrates the moment when the blind centurion Longinus pierces Jesus' side. A drop of blood falls on the centurion's hand, which he touches to his eye, restoring his sight. At that precise moment, Jesus dies, and, as the Bible describes, darkness falls. Remarkably, this only affects the city in the background, on the right; the one on the left is spared. Thanks to the faithful depiction of the buildings, we recognize Jerusalem, the holy city. It is highly probable that Jan Provoost visited this city on pilgrimage and drew upon his own observations to compose the urban landscape of this painting. It is possible that this Crucifixion was part of a triptych, along with two scenes from the life of Saint Catherine (currently housed in the Boijmans van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam and the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp, KMSKA). According to the reconstruction, this triptych would have formed the altarpiece of the Jerusalem Chapel in Bruges, where a fragment of the cross and a piece of silk that belonged to Saint Catherine are kept as relics.
The procession of spectators and soldiers returning to Jerusalem after the crucifixion is full of details that will captivate your attention. People are talking, pointing at Jesus, and, seated on their horses, conversing with one another. The excitement is palpable; the neighing of the horses and the conversations of the crowd are almost audible.
This contrasts sharply with the moment when Jesus is pierced in the side and utters his last words before dying. He serenely overlooks the assembly, accompanied only by the two executioners and two angels supporting his loincloth. These cherubs are an important element of the composition, as they are rarely depicted on Calvary scenes. Their presence alludes to the Eucharist. The death of Jesus on the cross is a sacrifice through which, according to Christian faith, believers regain access to heaven. The Eucharist, an integral part of the liturgical Mass where bread and wine (symbolizing the body and blood of Christ) are shared with the faithful, evokes this sacrifice. This confirms that this painting must have been an altarpiece, before which Mass was celebrated.

Angus and Merida have been fully deboxed.
My first look at the 2 piece Brave Angus and Merida Doll Set. It was released by the Disney Store on Monday May 14, 2012 online and in stores, along with many other Brave merchandise. It's cost is $39.50 US.
The set consists of the Princess Merida, who is a fully poseable 11.5'' doll in her blue formal dress, carrying a bow and arrow, and her faithful companion Angus, a 12.5'' tall black plush horse doll. Angus is 13.5'' to the top of his ears and is 15'' long. He has white hair on his nose and hooves, and neighs for a few seconds when his nose is pressed.
First I photographed the set in the unopened box. Then with the dolls taken out of the box, but still attached to the inner cardboard backing, which slides out of the box like a tray. Finally, the dolls were fully deboxed, and posed separately and together.
Formal Merida and Adventure Merida are taking aim at the same target. They are joined by Angus, who is looking on.
The Disney Store's Brave Angus and Merida Doll Set is posed with other Disney dolls. The set was released, with other Brave merchandise, on May 14, 2012.
I will call the Merida Doll from the set the Formal Merida, as she is wearing the teal formal dress. The separately sold Classic Merida I will call Adventure Merida, as she is wearing the dark green adventure dress. Since these two dolls are identical except for their outfits, I think of them as twins.

Maximus, the white horse sidekick character from ''Tangled'', as an 11'' long and tall hard plastic action figure. He is very stable on his four legs. His neck, head and legs move in unison. He also has articulated front knees. Tugging on his rear legs causes him to neigh for several seconds. He has a long blonde mane, a tail, and a top tuft. Also has a saddle and reigns. $24.50 US.

It's that time of year, Horse Flies (Clegs) have hatched. Such amazing eyes. They inflect a very painful bite but I think I'd rather have these beasties bite occasionally than the plague of Midges we endured every day in the Summer back in Co. Cork. This one was quite happy resting on Martin's newly painted fence panels that now hide our unsightly oil tank HFF & HFDF!
