Ondu 6x9 Pinhole, Ilford 400 film, developed in Rodinal, Scanned badly with DSLR

This is the negative effect

[Holga 135BC TLR]

[Lomography Negative 800]

Today I developed my first roll of b&w film at home while my wifey was visiting a friend! Here it is - much to my surprise - with images on it! Feeling very pleased with myself for a first attempt, water splotches 'n all.

Didn't leave a lot of time for a 365 shot, I would have liked to use one of the images from the roll but alas I don't have a negative scanner. Yet. :)

A classic wave picture from Hawaii. I think this was taken at North Shore, in the 1980's.

Famous for surfboarding! Its my first scanned negative on new Macbook pro, with new Photoshop 2022. A total new learning curve for me!

Cyanotype 4x5 xray film pinhole negative scanned and turned into a digital negative then contact printed in the sun.

A few lessons learned along the way.

Central District of Hong Kong, as seen from the Star Ferry, July 1972. The Furama Hotel is seen under construction (torn down in 2001, I think). The Cable and Wireless building, along with the HongKong Hilton are also seen. Pretty much everything in the photo has since been torn down

Like the previous negative, this one is also labeled "P.J."

Hard to tell where it was taken. Madagascar?

From the lettering on the boxes I know that the travelers have also been to the Philippines (unfortunately there are no negatives from this country).

A journey of two german(?) travellers in the 1930s throughout many countries.

19th century glass plate negative

I love peter keller's negative stars pattern. the geometry is great. so is the folding sequence.

of all the patterns I have folded it's probably the one with the biggest increase of folding difficulty when going from one molecule to an extended pattern. every time it's a puzzle to find out how to make the expanded version. I like that ;-)

with 5 molecules in a rwo you the natural dimensions of a bookmark. you can also get nice clean edges if you puzzle long enough (I made a big test fold of 2 molecules, just to find out how I could do the edges). as a result this bookmark for once does not have a frame. the person who gets it will just have to be careful when using it... ;-))

if you want to give this pattern a try you can go and check peter's excellent photo tutorial:

www.flickr.com/photos/syngola/sets/72157635034061569

the extended version is left as an excercise for the diligent student, though ;-)

ah yes: this was folded from sandwich paper, the model is about 12cm long and ca. 3,5cm wide.

Shot for Week 3 of my "52 Weeks of 2022" flickr group project given the theme "Negative Space".

I wanted the "negative space" in this week's photo to make the viewer feel something. Who wouldn't feel something when seeing the last chocolate chip cookie on a plate???

Maybe sad, because it's the last one,

or happy, because there's still one left,

or mad, because someone took a bite out of it!

Making the cookies was the best part. I love to make them, and even more, I like to eat them...

What did you feel when you first saw the image?

I had a couple different ideas for the shot, and I liked one of the alternate images, but decided on this one for my submission. Check out the alternate in my photostream and let me know if you think I went with the right one for the theme, or not...

Testing out JCH Streetpan 400 with the panorama setup and Cinestill DF96.

I've read quite a few mixed opinions about this film, and I think I am largely in agreement. The shadows don't hold detail very well, and when in doubt, you should overexpose a bit.

I think where this film shines is in high contrast scenes where you can build some interesting negative space. If I was standing around under some interesting architecture with some long and cutting shadows, this is a film that I might want to revisit having again.

Amazing detail in this negative. I believe that this is an old electric car, perhaps an old Baker Electric or Studebaker Electric. This negative came from Los Angeles, California and looking at the background it’s possible that it originated from there. There’s a palm tree and a steeple that perhaps someone can recognize. Wonderful piece of history.
