The last gothic-revival cottage, built in 1883, has been cut in two, after the steep roof was removed, and is up on a trailer, ready to roll through the streets just after dawn.

This unique round 2 story house was built in 1978 by John Ward.
John had built the small hut with plans to live in it and run a farm on his land. The Government had another idea of how they would turn the area into a national park.
In the 1990s John reluctantly sold his block of land to the government and it was made part of the national park. Since then Johns home has been left abandoned and hidden away of the map.

I had a home improvement veteran (my friend Jason) give me a hand with this step, and everything went super smoothly.
A new chapter for Pataphysical Studios started today, as we moved the 'Pataphysical Slot Machine to a new home. Our poetic oracle made its maiden journey to the hilltop ranch of Drs. Canard and Figurine, after six years of art incubation in Dr. Rindbrain’s backyard.
The move went very smoothly, with a fine crew of goggled pataphysicians on hand. It took us about four hours to load, unload and set up the exhibit, on a balmy Saturday afternoon. Getting the electronics connected took about an hour — and we got it all working, with a bit of soldering and ritual incantations.
We celebrated this historic occasion with a shot of absinthe and lots of good cheer. Ubu and the Slot Machine seem to fit right in their new home: a lovely guest room with a private entrance, overlooking an idyllic garden with views of the bay.
We plan to host viewing parties and open studios every few months, so others in our community can get to experience the Slot Machine and its magical wonderboxes. Long live Ubu!

“I'd rather have a Pawn than a finger” ~ Reuben Fine
So I'm back to these cool glass chess pieces we have, but this time I thought I'd highlight the white ones as they are so translucent. I actually had a different idea, but didn't have any color gels and didn't feel like running to the camera store. So, I morphed my idea into this. I really like the way the strobe lights up the pawn... no, PS only enhanced it, but didn't create the glow.
TGIF! Oh, and it's 10:30AM here, and I'm already up with my PAD. Nice... got the rest of the day to clean up and prep for Sunday!!! For those not in the know, Sunday is SUPERBOWL!
A busy weekend ahead with that game, and tomorrow is our neighbor's daughter's wedding. Can't believe she's getting married. Most likely my PAD will be from there.
Anyway, I'm gonna go clean up this mess I created and start to enjoy the weekend! Happy Friday everyone!

...and I'm gone!"
There are deer all over the place out in back of my house these days
There were several deer out in the field yesterday when Leo, Floydd and I took our walk.
This little button buck was intrigued enough by the cats to come pretty close, but as you can see, he's poised to bolt if I decide to move towards him."
