We spent hours in Yellowstone's Lamar Valley admiring the ever changing view and herds of bison. We witnessed several "bison jams" where the lumbering beasts just saunter out into the road and miil around until they decide to move on. When we were stopped along the road waiting for a bison jam to clear, this guy suddenly broke out of the herd in a distant field and started heading at a very determined pace towards the road. I stood outside the car with the door open, ready to jump in if he got too close. The images below are in sequence, all taken with the 300mm lens but not cropped so you can see how close he was. I think he had a "date" on the other side of the road...
I loved the pastel tones and textures of the grasses and sagebrush in the fields.

Sunrise , the lady sitting on the rocks here was so moved by the beauty of the sunrise it reduced her to tears.
This unique round 2 story house was built in 1978 by John Ward.
John had built the small hut with plans to live in it and run a farm on his land. The Government had another idea of how they would turn the area into a national park.
In the 1990s John reluctantly sold his block of land to the government and it was made part of the national park. Since then Johns home has been left abandoned and hidden away of the map.
We have been cleaning up our construction site this week. Todays
notable event was moving the 60 gallon air compressor which we have
been dragging around the yard for over 1.5 years. I used some moving
straps and tied them to the back of our electric vehicle and it
actually worked. I was able to drag the air compressor over 75'.

Since I had no clear notion when the repaving project would finish, and the end of my driveway was getting special attention from the paving crew, I decided the best place to put my car was on the street, on Brittany Lane. Turns out there are advantages to living on a corner.
Of course the paving project folks were also parking stuff there. But at least I could escape, if necessary.
My stash of books just arrived, shipped straight from the book bindery! Others should start shipping from the warehouse next week! Surreal. Orders yours through www.makingthingsmove.com !!!
A new chapter for Pataphysical Studios started today, as we moved the 'Pataphysical Slot Machine to a new home. Our poetic oracle made its maiden journey to the hilltop ranch of Drs. Canard and Figurine, after six years of art incubation in Dr. Rindbrain’s backyard.
The move went very smoothly, with a fine crew of goggled pataphysicians on hand. It took us about four hours to load, unload and set up the exhibit, on a balmy Saturday afternoon. Getting the electronics connected took about an hour — and we got it all working, with a bit of soldering and ritual incantations.
We celebrated this historic occasion with a shot of absinthe and lots of good cheer. Ubu and the Slot Machine seem to fit right in their new home: a lovely guest room with a private entrance, overlooking an idyllic garden with views of the bay.
We plan to host viewing parties and open studios every few months, so others in our community can get to experience the Slot Machine and its magical wonderboxes. Long live Ubu!
