XWX795 was an AEC Reliance with Roe Dalesman 41-seat coachwork, it was delivered new in May 1959 as Felix 40.

It was sold out of service before the takeover of Felix by SYPTE and was converted into a motor home and named "Dinky Villa". It now has become a restoration project back to its original condition but has been moved from The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft where it resided for many years.

Follows another theme, motor cycle oriented. Used to ride, very strictly amateur, non technical, just for the fun and freedom it gave.

The MPM Motors PS160 started its early life as a TagAZ Aquila, a car from Russia. After 200 cars the production ended and the car was made in France.

It was suposed to be a cheap but sporty car here in the NL, but I doubt if there was ever one sold

I have had this little print for ages and have finally got around to scanning it. It think that the location is Gloucester, although I may well be wrong. VV9622 appears to be a Hillman Minx. Any further information welcome!

traditionally vans in bangladesh are human hauled. i was quite surprised at the ingenuity of the locals in khulna, who somehow integrated old bikes into vans. this was the first time i saw one of its kind. they are pretty fast and can be scary at times, especially because of the lack of tarmac roads. the locals however seem quite used to it.

Very pleased to catch up with the Bessemer & Lake Erie's remaining tunnel motor sitting outside their shops in Greenville PA. I made a diversion here while driving from MD to MI in hopes of seeing it.

The 905 began life as a SD45T-2, built for the St Louis Southwestern (Cotton Belt) railroad (a subsidiary of Southern Pacific.) It was rebuilt as a SD40T-3 in 1999 for the BLE, along with a number of other "T'"s. The rest have been shipped off to other parts of Canadian National's network (the BLE being a subsidiary of CN.)

Tunnel motors are cool (pun intended) - you can find a nice write up on them here that explains that black rectangle at the back and the extraordinary length.

The gasoline-powered Curved Dash Oldsmobile is credited as being the first mass-produced automobile, meaning that it was built on an assembly line using interchangeable parts. It was introduced by the Oldsmobile company in 1901 and produced through 1907; 425 were produced the first year, 2,500 in 1902, and over 19,000 were built in all. When General Motors assumed operations from Ransom E. Olds on November 12, 1908, GM introduced the Oldsmobile Model 20, which was the 1908 Buick Model 10 with a stretched wheelbase and minor exterior changes.

It was a runabout model, could seat two passengers, and sold for US$650. While competitive, due to high volume, and priced below the US$850 two-seat Ford Model C "Doctor's Car", it was more expensive than the Western 1905 Gale Model A roadster at US$500. The Black sold for $375, and the Success for US$250.

The flat-mounted, water-cooled, single-cylinder engine, situated at the center of the car, produced 5 hp (3.7 kW), relying on a brass gravity feed carburetor. The transmission was a semiautomatic design with two forward speeds and one reverse. The low-speed forward and reverse gear system is a planetary type (epicyclic). The car weighed 850 lb (390 kg) and used Concord springs. It had a top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h).

The car's success was partially by accident—in 1901, a fire destroyed a number of other models before they were approved for production, leaving the Curved Dash the only one intact.

This image belongs to a series of motor vehicle photographs that do not contain owners or people with the vehicles. Therefore, they do not fall completely within the requirement of my 'Family Car' collection.

I thought however that somebody might like to see the rejects.

They have not been cleaned or restored to the extent of the primary collections, and they will not be placed in any Flickr groups.

If any images receive sufficient 'hits', I will consider cleaning them up for a more public release.
