My wife and daughter having fun on the twister. Been wanting to get a shot like this for a while now! Had to put the ISO up a bit which my camera isn't a big fan of - thank god for noise reduction :)
a group of people were rollerskating in London and I focus on the girl in the middle and leave the other on motion
Ever feel like your life is a whirlwind waiting for disaster or that everything just seems to be spinning way to fast? I do sometimes. MOTION…keep on spinnin..just don’t let go..lol. I think Everyone at this event this weekend was awesomely asking for disaster…does that make sense?lol The Circus~~~
You will find in the coming photos there will be some..ok most that are plain not clear. Have you ever been at a Circus without a tripod, very fast moving objects in dim light…rrrrrgggg! I hadn’t been to one since I had a camera period, much less this situation. Talk about a totally new ball game. So once we found a the only spot with a giant pole in the way to hinder us, I had to figure out how in the world I was going to shoot thru this mess. (in hind sight..I might just pay the extra $6 dollars a piece for the good seats..lol) My thought was…ok Andrea..you can NOT do this without your tripod (uggg…oh why did we take the the truck, the tripod was in the car!) So I decided to Focus on the unfocused…lol. So with the Circus photos in the coming days you will see Motion of purposely unfocused drama. I guess another day of trying to think out of the box. Fully off auto focus I might just have some nice bokeh shots too. We will see. SO we start with this motion shot..just because I liked the color. Welcome to our new adventure of Motionable captures.
RUN! RUN! as fast as you can...you cant catch me IM THE GINGERBREAD MAN!!!

(going through the archives again and decided to finally photoshop this and make my clones)
There are two reasons for this..
1) Have you noticed that that on a Wednesday Explore is full of shots prefixed by the letters HBW? No? Well I did.. Apparently it stands for Happy Bokeh Wednesday. And the shots are always lovely examples of gorgeous depth of field. So I thought I'd have a go but in traditional Steve style - I'd do it differently... So have a Happy Bokeh Wednesday one and all.
2) I also thought I'd throw another vid into the mix. And this time round I'm still frankly a bit disappointed. The upload went ok.. the original file is a 65Mb MP4. But the encoded version here seems really low quality. The audio is mono and low bit rate, which is a shame as it spoils the warmth and richness of Royksopp's fantastic tune. And the video encoding has made the fast moving lights go a bit blocky.. YouTube is fine quality for your novelty clips and humorous outtakes but if Flickr wants a bit more class the quality has to be a bit better than this... Oh... and the streaming still sucks... The whole point of this piece is the motion and the fluidity of the cuts... When it stops every two secs to rebuffer it spoils the experience...
So if you want to watch it properly, wait for it to download fully before playing!
Oh.. in case you're wondering.. The lights are off the new mixing desk in our new studio, where I've been spending far to much time lately... Soon I'll escape and make it back out with the camera... In fact, I'm not entirely sure where my camera is at the mo... hmmm....
