This was a good theme for the week, because of the move.
Woke up mildly hungover from the cookoff, so opted to walk up for greasy breakfast sandwich & hash browns, and didn't make it to yoga. I did some packing, and then Sarah & I went to IKEA to drop off some donations for Big Brother— they were having a drive where if you brought in 2 bags, they gave you a voucher for $30 off a $150 purchase, which we knew we'd need at the new place! Afterwards we went to Whole Foods to grab a few groceries for dinner and something for lunch, and then a quick run to the pet store. For dinner we made beet burgers and drank beer. Tried to sit outside but it was just too hot. Finally started to cool down around 9 and I had a shower & tried to get to bed early. 148/365.
Matter begins by division of stillness in the inert gases and its porjection by two-way motion into pairs of octave wave tones, which we call elements. The principle of projection is the same that man uses in projecting the concept of his idea into the moving form of the idea. It is the dual radar principle of Nature. Reduced to its ultimate simplicity, Nature is a series of echoes.

One of my favourite Blythe photos with some digital trickery.
Ruby & Alina imitating the young women of Naples - especially in the Quartieri Spagnoli. They zoom about those narrow cobblestone alleys, no helmet, hair flying, talking on their phones - Wonderful modern day Amazons!

A flock of Lesser Scaup (Aythya affinis) and Canvasback (Aythya valisineria) come in for a landing. I slowed down the shutter speed for this shot to get some blurring of the wings, and it just happened that the birds formed up in a snake-like line for their approach. Beauty and art can be found in nature wherever you look.

I was trying out some motion blur photography for the first time, panning with flash. Luckily there were a number of runners out. I like the composition and was lucky to catch them in a similar pose, making them a bit sharper would be nice but you should have seen some of the other efforts!
Figuring out settings. Also, I was testing Lightrooms upload feature to Flikr. Am going to get betters ones tomorrow, I hope.
Today's action shot was another quickie, but that doesn't mean it's not a goodie! I've been wanting to get this one for a while since my brother-in-law works at Mellow Mushroom. I'd been saying we'd go up there on a Saturday so I could shoot and luckily I had my camera with me when we decided to eat there for lunch. I motioned to him to ask if I could get a shot while he was throwing the dough and he nodded yes. So, after eating I got my camera out and fired off a few. This was pretty easy and straight-forward. I used my speedlite with the kicker card and didn't have any lighting problems. He had to show off by clapping while it was in the air and this was the only good shot I got of the clap and his face. (The other shots had his hands too high in front of his face). I also really enjoy the motion blur in the dough itself. I love days when the shot is just easy ;) Thanks Ryan for being so great to pose for me! (and for that delicious pizza!!!) 1/60sec@f/4 ISO100 FL:27mm
Canon 5D Mark II Photos of Beautiful Brunette Swimsuit Bikini Model Goddess! Pretty Green Eyes! Canon 5D Mark II Photos of Beautiful Brunette Swimsuit Bikini Model Goddess! Pretty Green Eyes! The Wind was running her fingers through her long, wavy hair! She's a fitness model and professional dancer! Shot with the 24-105mm IS USM L lens! Remastered RAWs in Lightroom 5 !
I was shooting video of the pretty goddess at the exact same time with my 45surfer/9shooter bracket setup--you can enjoy the video here:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Wb9hO6tG9g
Be sure to watch the goddess in full 1080p HD! She was tall, thin, tan, and fit!
Video is fun & it rocks to capture the goddess's beauty and poetry in motion!
Shooting simultaneous stills & video rocks! I do it on every shoot now, while also mounting several stationary DSLRs/camcorders for video in addition to the Panasonic or Sony Camcoder bracketed to my Canon 5D or Nikon D800E.
The sea goddess was tall, thin, fit, with long, gorgerous brown hair and pretty green eyes!
Sporting a 45SURF denim bikini. :)
And may the red-headed sea goddess inspire you along a photographic/artistic journey of your own making!
The Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens is an amazing lens for practically every situation!
Long, pretty legs!
All the best on your Hero's Journey from Johnny Ranger McCoy!
The 45surf Gold 45 Goddess exalts the archetypal form of Athena--the Greek Goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroic endeavour, handicrafts and reason. A Gold 45 Goddess embodies 45SURF's motto "Virtus, Honoris, et Actio Pro Veritas, Amor, et Bellus, (Strength, Honor, and Action for Truth, Love, and Beauty," and she stands ready to inspire and guide you along your epic, heroic journey into art and mythology. It is Athena who descends to call Telemachus to Adventure in the first book of Homer's Odyssey--to man up, find news of his true father Odysseus, and rid his home of the false suitors, and too, it is Athena who descends in the first book of Homer's Iliad, to calm the Rage of Achilles who is about to draw his sword so as to slay his commander who just seized Achilles' prize, thusly robbing Achilles of his Honor--the higher prize Achilles fought for. And now Athena descends once again, assuming the form of a Gold 45 Goddess, to inspire you along your epic journey of heroic endeavour. And like Helen of Troy, a Gold 45 Goddess is worth fighting a ten year war for.
si tienes una idea, haz una pequeña prueba para ver qué tan factible es llevarla a cabo...éste es un test en stopmotion de una idea que tenemos en Fluor para nuestro nuevo reel 2011 a salir en marzo (cruzamos los dedos)...
if you have an idea, make a little test to see how factible is to produce it... this is a stopmotion test of an idea that we have in Fluor for our new showreel 2011 to be released in march (crossing fingers)

Shot at 1/60th, so the motion of her swing shows up very nicely, though her face didn't turn out to be perfectly sharp as a result.
I really like it though. It pops.

"Don't be scared to speak
Don't speak with someone's tooth
Don't bargain when you are weak
Don't take that sharp abuse
Some patients can't be saved but that burden is not on you."
This may be the most beautiful climax of any album ever written.
