Today’s DailyShoot assignment is the last: “For the last Daily Shoot assignment, make a photograph today that is important to you. One that says what you want to say.” ds690
I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in the DailyShoot since I discovered it about four months ago. It has been an inspiration and a challenge, and it has certainly prompted me to take photos that I likely wouldn’t otherwise have considered. I have learned much along the way, through my own experimentation and through the work of other DailyShoot photographers.
For today’s final DS photo, I used a book by award-winning photographer Tom Ang titled, “How to Photograph Absolutely Everything.” It’s an apt title for the way that I feel about my DS participation.
I wish that the DailyShoot could continue, and I know that others feel the same way. But all good things must end, and it’s time to turn the page and move on to some new ways to get our daily photography fix.
Thanks to all of my new Flickr friends met through the DailyShoot. Your many kind comments on my photos have been greatly appreciated. Let’s stay in touch and keep up with each others’ work. Keep shooting and keep posting!
Monster Truck Show at Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, Virginia. Recent rains turned this into a muddy affair. Something these guys do not normally run in. They had difficulty gaining traction and the large tires would throw up lots of mud in the air. With slow camera settings for night time shooting it made for some cool photos
