This is supposed to be like Warhol's Diamand Dust Shoes. See below.
I'm ashamed to even consider this against Warhol. And can't believe how hard this assignment was. I can't believe how hard the Art assignment was. I got so upset, frustrated, angry pissed, until I realized, that is was okay to take some liberties and perhaps move it into a modern context. Yes, I have 16 pairs of shoes, but they are not all high heal/stilettos like in Warhol's piece. Then, to get the feeling of color I just had to then funk it up in my own way. I don't know PS, so I couldn't even attempt to make individual shoes colorized. I just went with my gut. I was really pleased in the end. I like it a lot as a stand alone piece, although it is a little dark, me thinks.

...ist die Kunst, das Gefundene zu erhalten, ohne es am Objekt zu ergänzen. Ich habe euch zum Unterstreichen dessen ein Motiv an der Wand fotografiert (links) und dazu das ergänzte Gegenstück, was der Vorstellungskraft nachhelfen soll - so oder ähnlich hat die Zeichnung einmal ausgesehen - natürlich farbig - aber der Betrachter findet sie nicht an der Wand, sondern auf einer zugeordneten Schautafel.
Die Wandzeichnungen sind rund 1000 Jahre alt - was mich faszinierte, war die Tatsache, dass dort u.a. auch Tiere abgebildet wurden, die ein im germanischen Raum lebender Künstler nie mit eigenen Augen erblickt haben kann - wie z.B Delphine.
Diese Aufnahmen lade ich für besseres Verständnis hoch - nicht, weil es ein besonders schönes Foto wäre...
Wat heet modern, met 55 jaar op de teller. Het groen met wit is bijna een schutkleur in het Openluchtmuseum.
