Part of the Norfolk & Western Railway Historical District, the former N&W Passenger Station sits under a brilliant moon. re-designed in 1949 by Raymond Loewry, it stands in the Moderne style. The building is now home of the O. Winston Link museum.

The sleek geometric lines of many diners were based on the “Art Deco” style. This art form was derived from a modernistic design trend that appeared in France in 1925 and gained in popularity following the release of the expressionistic German sci-fi film “Metropolis” in 1927. Over time a sub-genre developed known as “Streamline Moderne” – this was a design shift that placed emphasis on horizontal lines as seen in this photo.
The museum Moderne Galerie in Saarbrücken is an interesting example of Brutalism. Clearly structured, geometric division of the facade, rough forms, "raw" building materials such as concrete slabs. The hard shadows emphasize the geometric structures. Only the shadow of a tree and the arid, almost brown grass testify to nature.

Het eindpunt Diemen Sniep in het voorjaar van 2015: De omgeving van de eindlus is nog onbebouwd en de inmiddels niet meer bestaande lijn 9 berijdt die lus andersom dan tegenwoordig. We zien de 2074 en 2151 met een onbekende collega- iets wat heden ook niet meer zal voorkomen: hier hebben de CAF's van lijn 19 nu vrijwel het alleenrecht en is het aflospunt verlegd naar Station Sloterdijk.
