Moderated by Bill Flaherty, of National Grid, this first-ever “State of the Capital Region” breakfast featured a panel discussion with the presidents of the largest chambers of commerce in the Capital Region: Mark Eagan, president of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber; Linda Hillman, president of the Rensselaer County Chamber; Charles Steiner, president of the Chamber of Schenectady County; and Todd Shimkus, president of the Saratoga County Chamber.
Collectively representing more than 7,000 of the region’s employers, these four Chamber presidents discussed the state of our region’s economy and the ways they are working together collaboratively to expand economic opportunity regionally. They both looked back on the progress our region has made in 2012 as well as ahead to 2013 and beyond to explore other initiatives their organizations will be taking to help local employers succeed, grow and thrive within the Capital Region.
